Abstract:

The following article presents an analysis of selected quantitative methods in the research process. The author highlighted the importance of quantitative analysis in the research process, which requires to collect a great number of data, as well as to analyse and interpret them. Selected research methods were stipulated: SPACE (Strategic Position and Action Evaluation), network methods and the Delphi method. An analysis of the use of triangulation method in order to enhance the reliability of research results was carried out. The Author attempted to answer the following research questions: What research methods should be employed in the research processes within the area of economics? Is the methodological triangulation a prerequisite in research processes? Does the triangulation enhance the reliability of employed quantitative methods in research processes?
