Fostering the ethnic culture of ethnic minorities (especially in early age), the search for contact points with the culture of the country in which they live, and intensive communication with the local community ? these could be the factors that correct strained socio-cultural or even political situations. Promoters of the cultural heritage emphasize that the opening up of cultural values to the rest of the world, the preservation of ethno-culture, does not encourage cultural closure, and it is a completely opposite phenomenon to nationalism, chauvinism, fundamentalism. The future of human civilization is multicultural diversity and the cultivation of cultural dialogues. The aim of the research ? to reveal the music and art teachers? approach, who are involved in art activities (preschool education) of children of national minorities, towards their ethno-cultural education. This aim is connected with the research questions: do children of national minorities have the need to cherish their ethno-culture; how do they adopt the ethno-culture of the country they live; how do the parents react to the integration of their children into ethno-cultural activities, which are connected with the country they live and with their own nationality; how could the ethno-cultural education interact with the social integration? The theoretical analysis involved the scientific literature and documents, the empirical research was carried out using interviews. Qualitative research was conducted in 2018.The interviews were performed with the music and art teachers of preschool education from Lithuania and Norway. The total sample consisted of 20 informants. The qualitative content analysis was applied processing the accumulated data.Main results show that that appropriate music and art ethno-cultural activities adapted for education of preschool children could have positive influence on the social integration of children of national minorities in the country in which they live and to strengthen intercultural dialogue. Whereas behavioral finance uses knowledge from psychological studies in context of decision making in comparison to the so called predictable models popular in standard finance. Most oftenly investor behavior diverges from logics and rationality as investors are victim of numerous behavioral errors that intervene while they form up investment decision. Decison making is complicated due to the intervention of emotional attachments & avoidances, cognitive errors, and personality traits of decision makers. In developing country like Pakistan where the environment is unstable due to factors like security threats, terrorism, inflation, energy crises and are affecting the thinking pattern of people and the ratio of educated entrepreneur is very less, decisions are based on gut feelings, there is a need to study the impact of self-control, self-attribution along with cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias on investment decision and the current aimed to do so. The present study collected primary data through questionnaire from stock and bond investors. Significant positive relationship is found between the study biases and their impact on investment decisions of investors. Almost all the subjects were found to be the victims of confirmation bias, self-control bias, self-attribution & cognitive dissonance bias. Financial advisors are recommended to be first trained and then consulted for the detection & moderation of these biases before making investment decisions. Abstract: In Ireland entry into higher education undergraduate courses is processed by the Central Applications Office (CAO) and can be applied through many routes. The most common application is based upon the Leaving Certificate Examination results. Those applying through such a facility are referred to as standard entrants. The Leaving Certificate Examination is a terminal exam which occurs at the end of the Senior Cycle in post-primary schools in the Republic of Ireland. Students may take examinations in a number of subjects with results being awarded in the form of grades. These grades are then assigned a points value. Candidates also have the option of sitting a Higher or Lower paper with the Higher paper being the more difficult choice. As a result the grades achieved in a Higher paper are worth more points than those from a Lower paper. Those students with the highest points are offered places on the most sought after programmes. There are also students classified as ?non standard entrants? who access higher education by other means than the Leaving Certificate examination. Having achieved their place in higher education though the various entry routes the statistics show that the dropout rate among first year students is significant. This research set out to examine whether there are any differences in retention rates among a number of different categories of student within an Institute of Technology in Dublin. Those categories are male, female entrants and standard and non-standard entrants. Leaving Certificate points achievement was also be used as a variable in analysing retention. A dataset was utilised in SPSS to examine five hypothesis. International indicators of innovation are becoming an important tool for evaluating the effectiveness of innovation policy. Innovation policy often suffers, especially in developing countries, from an insufficient understanding of the complex phenomenon of innovation. Lack of a systemic approach to innovation leads to a lack of the emphasis on innovation based on knowledge from any source and not just on the knowledge formally created through R&D. Identified are the strengths and weaknesses of innovation policy of Belarus, as well as the problems of innovative development given the Global Innovation Index, the Innovation Union Scoreboard and Knowledge Economy Index. Developed are the new directions of innovation policy for Belarus. South Africa has a shortage of human resources who are qualified to diagnose and counsel individuals who may have a mental illness (Lund, Petersen, Kleintjes & Bhana, 2012). The World Health Organisation (WHO) (2007), report states that there are only 9.3 medical human resources to every 100 000 people in South Africa. This implies that primary health care (PHC) workers, (particularly nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and doctors) who interact frequently with patients may be unduly burdened. Public health care nurses, specifically, are unofficially required to recognise mental illness and appropriately refer patients for assistance. These nurses may have had some basic training around mental illness but they may not be equipped to recognise, diagnose or treat mental illness resulting the patient being inadequately treated. In South Africa the biomedical approach to mental health care is consistent within psychiatric care, in that the manifestation of psychiatric symptoms are treated biomedically, in order to contain the neurobiological antecedents of the illness. However, this approach is arguably less conducive to psychosocial difficulties that result in needing mental healthcare (Petersen, Bhagwanjee, Parekh, 2000). The significance of this research is that it highlights issues of mental health and illness within the scope of public health care facilities and whether these facilities are able to provide adequate care for patients with mental illness. The Life Esidemeni crisis (2016), demonstrates the urgent need to shine a spotlight on mental health service provision in South Africa, both in research and society. In light of the above factors, the aim of this research is to better understand what public healthcare staff, not trained in psychiatry or psychology, understand about mental illness, and explore their personal experiences of treating patients who may be experiencing a mental illness or a mental health crisis. This study is an Interpretive Phenomenological (IP) study focusing on the unique perspectives and experiences of primary health care (PHC) workers. It is a threat to social and economic stability and sustainable human existence. As the environment continues to worsen, it has become a crucial concern across the globe for environmentalists, organizations, governments and people in general to encourage and adopt green behavior. Much has been done in this direction starting from national level policies to organizations making green products. Eco-conscious business leaves no stone unturned in providing eco-information to the prospective customers through ad-campaigns, usage of various eco-labels. Yet literature suggests that it seems to hardly affect consumer?s purchase decision. Eco-information is considered to be a definite concern but purchase is guided by personal interest. This situation is a call for now applying behavior modification techniques to pull customer towards purchase of environment friendly products. This study is an attempt to understand how reinforcement schedules can be used by marketers to modify consumer behavior towards green products. The study aims at using empirical methodology in identifying pull factors to motivate green behavior through reinforcement schedules. Leadership style plays an important role how these conflicts are handled especially in a team situation. Leadership style also determines the effectiveness of a team. The present study was conducted to map these interrelationships between leadership style of team leader, conflict resolution styles of team members and team effectiveness. A total of 15 teams consisting of 138 team members were taken for the study. The results reveal that Competing and Collaborating style of conflict resolution amongst the team members are significantly negatively affected due to Autocratic and Democratic Leadership Styles respectively. Avoiding conflict resolution style of team members is significantly influenced by Autocratic Leadership Styles while there is no significant effect of any Leadership styles on Compromising as well as Accommodating conflict resolution styles. Further it was observed that only Role Clarity and Shared Responsibility factors of Team Effectiveness is influenced by the Leadership styles while the remaining factors such as Participative leadership, Aligned Roles, Focus on task, Innovation, Problem Solving, Effective Communication, Responsiveness are independent of any Leadership styles present in the teams. Characteristics of the blended solutions were explored in terms of viscosity and conductivity. Morphologies of nanofibrous webs were observed by SEM analysis. Experimental results exhibited that the morphologies of polyurethane nanofiber webs have been changed significantly with the solvent selection and mixing ratios of the solvents during electrospinning. Diameter of the nanofibers was ranged between 277 nm and 556 nm, respectively. Tensile strength and elongation measurements proved that mechanical properties of the nanofibrous webs were remarkably influenced by the fiber morphology and the uniformity. In most cases it can be summarized as ?changes in the mode of human life, which gives appearance of approaching some essential singularity in the history of human race, beyond which human affairs, as we know them, could not continue?1. When considering the possibility of technological singularity in the form of emergence of superintelligence, we are given also some variety in its facets like, self-improving technology, accelerating change or simply put, intelligence explosion2. These forms vary in the antecedents that define the initial state of affairs that would become the foundation of the arrival of singularity. The debate concerning this hypothetical phenomenon can be polarizing, with no consensus on the horizon. Even when we take into account cognitive science, as the basis for formulation of possible paths technological progress can take, and result in a singularity, there can be a stern critique3. Still, with a balance between enthusiasm and critique, being rooted in constructive approach to this idea, we can make viable attempt at better understanding and predicting what future may hold for the human race4. Comparably, with the advent of connectomics and the advancement of studies on large-scale networks we can make even more detailed attempt at explaining and modelling possible emergence of artificial general intelligence. Especially, due to how we can of define and model emergent properties that such biological organisations possess5. The methods, with which we can view, analyze and discover properties of hierarchical structures can lead the way into a more detailed view of cognition. There is also the possibility of emulating it on a more robust platform (self-improving array of integrated circuits, adiabatic processors and similar). we have the possibility to design AI that will spark a paradigm-shift for the future research and our understanding of mind. Secondly, how the educational programme incorporates traditional knowledge (TK) into the mainstream in recognising the importance of these pieces of knowledge to the people? Thirdly, what comprises an appropriate knowledge management in building a knowledge economy in Africa? The analysis of the study deals with the various challenges facing Africa transition to a knowledge economy. The significance of the study is to address Africa?s overlooked and neglected knowledge produced locally from an institution and informal sectors which has a detrimental effect on building an inclusive economy. To resolve the issue, it is argued that appropriate reform in the structure administering knowledge is necessary for creating opportunities for individuals in building a network of innovators in society. The emerging understanding of knowledge economy also will be utilised to find the most appropriate solutions in this regard. It is, therefore, this study will explore using descriptive approach to qualitative research, multi-disciplinary in nature, the management, the law, and economics by building bridges to the main disciplines working jointly to move beyond discipline specifics approach to address the issue. Both a desk and data-based approach utilising qualitative tools will be used in conducting this study. However, it is doubtful if EM possesses a systematic and comprehensive approach to explain the social world extensively as a fully-fledged practice or framework of analysis. Moreover, it shows a very fragmented structure regarding the studies in the field. Based on these aspects, this article problematizes the extent of EM?s contribution to social analysis. The argument of this work is that it is not suitable to be considered a separate framework of social analysis due to the drawbacks mentioned; nevertheless it has a significant potential to contribute to the examination of social reality if it is integrated into the theoretical and/or methodological frameworks of social analyses as a perspective. The argument is defended through critical reading of the primary and secondary sources which deals with EM theoretically and also discussing some studies which can be regarded as its applications in social research. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has been applied to many branches and especially to football. This paper investigates the technical efficiency levels of national teams participating in World Cup 2014 to shed light on the sport performance. Input oriented CCR/BCC model and super efficiency analyses have been used to investigate the football efficiencies. In this study, passes completed, attempts on target and possession are used as input while the only output is goal scored. The results have illustrated that World Cup winner Germany is found as efficient on both CCR and BCC model. On the other hand, only four teams are technically efficient within 32 teams while nine teams have demonstrated pure efficiency. Colombia is the most efficient team for both CCR and BCC super efficiency model. In this regard, we may conclude that efficiency would be a viable instrument in analyzing the football teams. It means the difference between the retail selling price of a product and the material cost. It is calculated on the basis of financial statements. The objective of this paper is to assess the level and structure of value--added on an example of the selected branches of the food industry in Poland. The authors carry out comparative analysis of these branches and also indirectly refer to the assessment of the level of their modernity. The results show that remuneration plays a significant role in the value-added structure. Remunerations represent approx-imately 50 percent of the value. In the world practice, the involvement of private capital in the creation and subsequent operation of infrastructure facilities contributes to the sustainable growth of the national economy, the introduction of promising technological, organizational and institutional innovations, resource saving and energy independence, improving the quality of services provided to the population. The problem of efficiency of joint investment activity of private and public capital owners in infrastructure projects is due to the complexity of taking into account the interests of all participants. The format of joint activities should be based on the principles of risk sharing, connection of projects with the target socio-economic characteristics of the development of territories, obtaining benefits from the results of projects. The authors studied the most successful practices of infrastructure development financing, taking into account possible future benefits from the creation of these facilities in the form of additional revenues from taxes, fees, access rights to the operation of infrastructure and other privileges. One of these tools is the mechanism of tax increments of financing. The paper analyzes the conditions for the implementation and fulfillment of this mechanism in different countries of the world, studied the experience of the TIF mechanism, taking into account industry specifics and other features of the projects, describes the specific models of the TIF mechanism. The comparative approach and macroeconomic analysis were used to compare the conditions of implementation of the TIF mechanism and project financing, and to identify fundamental similarities and differences. The conclusion is made about the possibility of embedding (diffusion) of individual elements of the TIF mechanism in project financing in Russia. The use of institutional and statistical analysis, as well as the methodology for assessing the effectiveness of investment projects, allowed the authors to form a comprehensive assessment of the possibility of using the TIF mechanism in the Russian environment. Cognitive psychology plays a major role in how people make their choices. Cognitive bias is known to have an effect on decision making. These biases are based on memory which create a systematic deviation in thinking and processing information. This paper aims to identify the effect of select cognitive biases i.e., Overconfidence bias, Endowment bias, Ambiguity Aversion bias and Recency bias on General Decision Making of a person as well as Financial Decision Making. The study also explores the differences and similarities in cognitive biases working during general decision making and financial decision making. For this, a self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from 416 people and analysis and conclusions were drawn based on it. Instead, a linear, decreasing density is employed to represent a decreasing population density as distance from a metropolitan area is increased along some transportation artery. Entry is sequential, and the number of firms is assumed endogenous after an initial firm is located, making the entrants consider the possibility of later firms. Entrants into this market have neither maximum nor minimum differentiation. Earlier entrants generally locate closer to the population center with the possible exception of the equilibrium location closest to the densest point on the line. The differentiation increases as the firms are farther from the population center. However, this practice regularly involves a cost and can make firms to be hesitant to share their important information with their supply chain partners. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of strategic information sharing as a practice in the creation of supply chain competence among firms. A positivist approach that allowed a quantitative research method in data collection was used in this study. Data from a sample of 280 firm owners/managers from all the industries of South Africa?s nine provinces was used for the final data analysis of this research. A principal component analysis was performed for factor reduction and dimensional groupings using SPSS 24 software. Multiple Regression analysis was performed using SPSS 24 software, and was used for hypotheses tests. The principal finding of this study reported a weak positive influence of strategic information sharing on supply chain competence. This implies that the sharing of important information, if done through the correct structures and technologies, has the ability to create a unique competitive edge for the entire supply chain through collective learning. However, firms need to consider factors such as balancing the bargaining power, aligning roles with incentives as well as developing strong trust before engaging in developing a supply chain competence using strategic information as a tool. Favourable natural conditions as well as the tradition and consumption patterns have made Poland, producing 2.5-2.8 million tonnes of pig livestock (in liveweight), one of the biggest producers in the EU. The pig sector is not only one of the most important branches of the Polish agri-food economy, but is also considered one of the most sensitive ones (Rowinski, Tereszczuk 2008). What makes it so important is its large share in commercial production and agricultural income, sales revenue and employment, as well as a high level of pork consumption and its share in consumers? food spending. Following Poland?s accession to the EU, the development of the pig sector has been more hindered than the production and processing of poultry, milk and beef. Poland has become a shortage country in pork production, the share of imports in the supply of the domestic market has increased to 40%, and the negative balance of foreign trade in pork reached in 2016 220 thousand tonnes in a meat equivalent and EUR 342 million. The article presents the changes taking place on the pork market in Poland in 2004-2016 and indicates the factors determining them. Problems relating to pork production are mainly due to: fragmented farm structure compared to those in EU-15 Member States, decreasing share of pork in agricultural commercial production und in the total meat production, low price competitiveness, problems with ASF in the eastern regions of Poland and hindered exports due to an embargo imposed by Russia. Nigeria Title: Green Commercial Buildings for Benefits Realization in Nigerian Construction Industry Abstract: Despite all the global stakeholders call for a paradigm shift from the traditional design and construction practices, green buildings awareness for greater client`s benefits realization is still lagging in the Nigerian construction industry. It is premise that, lack of adequate client awareness on the potential benefits realization and high costs associated with design and construction are seen to be key barriers in delivering green and sustainable buildings in the construction industry. Viewed from the concept of community of practice (CoP), it is the corporate social responsibility of the construction industry stakeholders to improve the current level of client`s awareness on green buildings and benefits realization. It is argued that a major set-back to green building programs adoption is the lack of public awareness. This paper seeks to assess the level of client`s awareness on green building designs and the potential long term benefits to be achieved by delivering green and sustainable buildings. The study adopts an inductive approach and qualitative method. The data for analysis was collated through interview with both informed and ill-informed in the Nigerian construction industry and analyzed using thematic analysis. In this paper, design and developing green buildings is seen to have a great potential to optimize client?s/owners benefits realization, through energy efficiency; organizational level of productivity and minimize building lifecycle operation costs in Nigerian commercial buildings. This can only be achieved if the client is well informed of the benefits to be realized in short term and in the long term. Despite the benefits of ORE, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) costs account for up to one-third of total wind energy project lifecycle expenditure requiring relationships with multiple external partners to improve the supply chain and O&M activities. Therefore, management of the O&M activities of the supply chain and logistics has become an excellent place to drive efficiency and reduce cost thereby creating innovative products and services, business clusters and job opportunities. Findings show how strategic resources help offshore companies to reduce cost and achieve environmental, economic and social benefit derived from ORE. The OIS is used to explain the importance of new resources in technology, knowledge sharing and relationships, and stresses the role of stakeholders in addressing the challenges. The limitation of this study is related to reliance on secondary data. However, it provided an opportunity to elaborate on OIS theory and reinforces the importance of knowledge sharing, collaboration and network advantage. Overall, this provided insights into the constituent resources needed for successful OIS, regional entrepreneurship and helps move renewable energy research from a technological advancement challenges to a problem of strategic resources and relational capabilities. It has been reported in the international comparative study of the bullying that there is the tendency that bystanders in bullying decreases after the establishment of the self. However, there is a tendency that bystanders are increasing continuously, rather than mediators, even after the establishment of the self in Japan. Bystanders are classified as implicit bystanders and as arbitrary bystanders. It is important to reduce the amount of implicit bystanders and evoke helping behaviour as arbitrated bystanders. In this study, the fact that others? consciousness, empathy and helping norms are affecting behaviour of bystanders in bullying was assumed. As a methodology, a questionnaire of 300 ordinary citizens was carried out.As a result of the survey, as for empathic concern for bullying, empathic concern in general, personal distress and others? consciousness, there were significant differences between the bystanders with helping behaviour and bystanders without helping behaviour. However, as for fantasy, perspective-taking and helping norms, there were no significant differences between the bystanders with helping behaviour and other bystanders.?In addition, as for psychological traits, such as others? consciousness, empathy and helping norms, there were no significant differences between the bystanders who was bullied and bystanders who wasn?t bullied. However, as for fantasy, empathic concern for bullying, repayment helping norms and helping norms of relief of the weak, there were significant differences between the bystanders with bullies and bystanders without bullies. In conclusion, to the effort to raise others? consciousness and empathy evoke helping behaviour of bystanders in bullying. To stop bullying, it is important to encourage the imagination and empathy for the plight of the weak and to bring up the helping norm of mutual benefits, the helping norm of compensate for the weak and the helping norm of relief of the weak. Practised through banishing the target from a social group and social interaction, workplace ostracism is probable to have negative impact on the employees. Though different from harassment, it is equally destructive when it comes to the workplace environment. It manifests itself in a number of forms not only at individual level but also at the organizational level. This paper aims to explore the effects of ostracism on employee behaviour in terms of their performance and turnover. Testing the study in the banking sector, the results suggest that ostracism adversely affects employee performance. Similarly, the former leads to high turnover trend. Statistical significance has been found in the inverse relationship between workplace ostracism and employee performance; and workplace ostracism and employee turnover. The study makes a significant contribution towards the literature on Workplace Ostracism, as it examines the effect of workplace ostracism on two of the key performance indicators i.e. Performance and Turnover. The study will also provide managers with insight on the construct of ostracism will enlighten them about the costs associated with the presence of ostracism in the workplace in terms of employee performance & employee turnover. QUALITY OF LIFE Abstract: Organizational cultural theorists suggest that culture is the critical factor of the facts, derived from social values given as socially constructed realities. This research paper aimed to explore ASEAN citizens? perceived shared culture on the realm of decreasing power distance and uplifting the citizens? quality of life. It is conducted in order to investigate the following questions: (a) what level of power distance that ASEAN citizens in four countries (Brunei, Singapore, Philippines, and Thailand) perceived and why they do perceive like that by testing Hofstede and Hofstede?s proposal (Hofstede and Hofstede, 2005, Jittaruttha, 2011) of power distance at three levels: 1) general level of social norms, 2) workplace relationships level, and 3) political or state relationships level, (b) what level of quality of life that ASEAN citizens in four countries perceived and why they do perceive like that by testing those concepts of quality of life in ten dimensions (Haq, 1990; UN, 1995; White, 2007; Helliwell, Layard, Sachs, 2012; UN, 2015; UNDP, 2015) (c) what key success factors lead to the shared culture of the ASEAN community, which is decreasing power distance and uplifting the citizens? quality of life. The methodology employed in this research is mixed methods conducted by analyzing academic works as well as a field survey. The article postulates that the perceived shared culture of ?power distance? of 2,880 people in four countries was low at three levels, excepts in Philippines that culture of ?power distance? was moderate at general level (mean 2.78). As for the perceived shared culture of ?quality of life? in four countries was moderate level in whole but slightly different. Brunei is the first order of quality of life measurement and Philippines is the first one of equality measurement. The conclusion confirms that participative culture is the shared culture of the ASEAN community, which is decreasing power distance and uplifting the citizens? quality of life. It also offers that there will be more participative culture if these four political culture indicators are strongly promoted: (1) cultural indicators; small power distance, (2) historical sociology indicators; reduction of obedience, freedom of decision, (3) organizational society indicators; participation, decentralization, and (4) political economy indicators; accountability, transparency. The recommendations give support to Hofstede?s power distance concept, and that of House (2004) and Robbins (2004). It highlights that participative culture of ASEAN community will be sustained by reducing inequality from nepotism, patronage or spoil system and eliminating corruption. Lithuanians, Jews, Russians, Poles, Ukrainians and others ? have beautifully lived together from ancient times. In the face of globalization and migration of nations, a two-way issue arises: how to maintain our own cultural identity and heritage, and how to enrich it, by adopting traditions and customs of other nations. At the same time, it is important to grasp the experience of these issues in neighbouring countries. The aim of the research ? to reveal the approach of young people, who are involved in the artistic activities of non-formal education, towards their cultural identity. This aim dictates research questions: how do young people describe the notion of cultural identity? are they prepared for the integration of cultural heritage of other nations in their artistic activities? what is the extent to which ethnic music and folk art are relevant in the context of their cultural identity today? The theoretical analysis involved the examination of the scientific literature and documents. The empirical research was carried out using questionnaires and interviews. Qualitative research was conducted in 2015-2018.The questionnaire survey (with opened questions) was performed in higher education schools in Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Ukraine in the processes of non-formal activities (clubs for fine art activities, musical ethno-cultural ensembles). The total sample consisted of 43 informants. The qualitative content analysis was applied processing the accumulated data.Main results show that despite the fact that young people understand very differently the concept of cultural identity, many of them very much appreciate their traditions and ethno-culture. At the same time, they say they want to learn more about other cultures, people of other nations, their art. They highlight the fact, that the multicultural experience and knowledge of ethnic culture makes it possible to be more tolerant for ethnic and cultural differences. Abstract: The aim of present investigation was to develop press coated tablet for pulsatile drug delivery of Salbutamol sulphate using hydrophilic and hydrophobic polymers. The drug delivery system was designed to deliver the drug at such a time when it could be most needful to patient of rheumatoid arthritis. The press coated tablets containing Salbutamol sulphate in the inner core was formulated with an outer shell by different weight ratio of hydrophobic polymer (micronized ethyl cellulose powder) and hydrophilic polymers (Glycinemax Husk or sodium alginate). The release profile of press coated tablet exhibited a lag time followed by burst release, in which outer shell ruptured into two halves. Authors also investigated factors influencing on lag time such as particle size and viscosity of ethyl cellulose, outer coating weight and paddle rpm. The surface morphology of the tablet was examined by a scanning electron microscopy. Today?s? virtual communication methods and channels are able to connect physic distances and organizations far away from each other are interconnected through the different info communicational tools. However, virtual proximity does not entail unequivocally the evolution of relations between organizations. The study will review the role of geographic and virtual proximity from the theoretical perspective which will be followed by the introduction of empirical research findings. Though organizations use virtual communication channels to maintain their relations internationally, periodical geographic proximity is needed. Geographic proximity plays different role and has different importance in diverse inter-organizational relation types. In order to implement the 'cashless society,' which is an issue these days, mobile easy payments need to be expanded. Mobile ease payment services, one of the FinTech industries are increasingly available and in use. This phenomenon is a step closer to 'cashless society'. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage continued use of mobile payment services. The purpose of this study is to investigate consumers' continuous intention to use easy payment through Technology Readiness (TR) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). As a result of the analysis, positive technology readiness had a significant effect on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Further, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use had a positive effect on continuous use intention. The results imply that both personality dimensions and system specific dimensions are of major importance when adopting new technology. Literature on cities in Africa is saturated by narratives by ?explorers and scholars? from the north, often decades past their youth. Very few, if any, narratives in academia are from young voices who have lived and experienced urban spaces in various parts of the continent. The question is, how does one change that in a pedagogical landscape built entirely on narratives or texts that are ?other? to these youthful African voices? How does one shift pedagogy in an inherently colonial and industrial curriculum? This study applies postmodern theories in narrating and studying both historic and contemporary realities of urbanization of cities in Africa through the lens of the self and storytelling as valid research method. It shifts focus from set literature and prioritizes lived experiences from young voices, moreover, it presents these as authentic pedagogical approaches. The study is interested in how young people narrate, represent and present their immediate contexts. Since 2016, propelled by the 2014/15 ?fees must fall? student movement in South Africa which, amongst other things, advocated for the decolonization of education, the Department of Architecture at the University of Johannesburg introduced a lecture series focusing on cities in Africa within an existing module offering, but shifted the focus by inviting young and diverse voices as presenters. In 2017, the series was taken out of the classroom into communal student spaces within the department to make it accessible to a larger interactive audience and to loosen the series from prescriptive curriculum structures. It is a work in progress, however what has come out from this two-year experiment, for the students presenting and participating in the series, is a yearning to hear more voices, the appreciation of various narratives and perspectives presented, and the need to expand such an experiment beyond the boundaries of the university campus. The case of the Greek public sector Abstract: In today's global and dynamic environment, the increasing pressure of internal and external change, the intensified competitiveness and the rapid technological advances lead many organisations, both public and private, to use training and development activities to remain competitive. The current study explores how employees? learning and development orientation in the public sector is affected by organisational factors i.e. perceived organisational support (POS) and perceived supervisor support (PSS). The responses received from a sample of 490 employees working for public organisations in Greece indicated that employees? motivation to learn and develop are significantly and positively related both to perceived organisational support and perceived supervisor support. Furthermore, the above relationships are found to be mediated by employees? level of organisational citizenship behavior (OCB). Also Tokyo metropolitan area is estimated depopulation and hard aging. Additionally a new urban planning that targets the reduction of automobile dependence and the use of public transit is required for realization of sustainable city. Tokyo metropolitan area is originally excellent in railway usage on commuting transit. Under this situation it is important that railway passengers preserve. I study the influence of land use patterns, aging and traffic means to railway station around above 580 railway stations on railway passengers from the viewpoint of sustainable rail transit service, especially viewpoint of TOD (Transit Oriented Development) using multiple regression analysis. In this study I set railway station influence area 800m in land use analysis and 500m in population aging analysis. I use railway passenger?s data from 1999 to 2015. In this study land use classification is farmland, forest, low-rise housing, crowd low-rise housing, middle and high-rise housing, commercial and business use, park and green land, manufacturing, public institution and development land. Traffic means to railway station in this study analysis are bicycle, bus, motor bicycle and working. As a result, it?s found that aging around railway station affect decrease railway passengers and mixed land use around railway stations has a constant effect on the increase and retention of the number of railway passengers. On the other hand, traffic means to railway station is not related to maintenance of the railway user. In addition aging around railway station is related to land use. Namely, in high component of low-rise housing areas hard aging is advancing. I will introduce success example of railway passengers? maintenance. It is important to perform mixed land use around railway station, urban redevelopment around railway station at high component of low-rise housing area, especially, unplanned sprawl area. Politicians and public officials are obliged by the Organic Act on Counter Corruption B.E. 2542 to submit an account showing particulars of their assets and liabilities and to disclose such account to the public. It has been acknowledged that a number of the assets declaration reports have been left unverified by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), thus making the system ineffective. The purpose of this study is to examine, analyze, and compare the asset declaration systems in Thailand and in other countries, as well as the problems and obstacles in practice. This study found that in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the asset declaration system, NACC should make it compulsory for all types of public officials to submit an account showing particulars of their assets and liabilities but verify an account only when there are doubts about a submitted account or only for positions with high risk of conflict of interest. The deployment of information technology in the asset declaration system especially for the filing process and the verification process as well as linking the information from other government agencies and private organizations shall increase the efficacy of the system. The disclosure of account showing particulars of assets and liabilities should be required from everyone who is holding a political position and from every public official so that the general public will be able to examine the disclosed information. Finally improving the organizational structure of NACC to be in line with the asset verification system can increase the effectiveness of the system. We will try to find out the similarities in form and differences in meaning of internationalisms in English and Albanian language. With the method of contrastive analysis (Ivir, 1968); we will try to analyze pairs of words that have the same form in both of the languages, English and Albanian, but the semantic field of Albanian words is wider than in English language. With the help of translation paradigms from Albanian to English language translated exclusively from native English speakers we will try to analyse pairs of internationalisms whose meaning overlap to a certain level but the scope of meanings in Albanian language is wider than in English language. The direction of our research is from Albanian to English language. With the help of subjective technique, comparing the surface structures of internationalisms and objective technique, working with the corpus, one-way, bidirectional translation, and group test of Gjorgevic (Gjorgjevic, 1982) we will try to find out internationalisms with the same form and whose meaning overlap to a certain level but the scope of meanings in Albanian language is wider than in the English language. This paper attempts to make an assessment and analysis of the response of Islamic scholars and their debate to modernity and their contribution to ?Islamic modernism?. The moderate and reformist calls are overshadowed by the fundamentalists, revolutionists and jihadists; so the current research will try to explore the concepts of reformists and modernists to make Islamic modernity as a reality that could meet the exigencies of modern era. Islam has been subjected to the effect of modernism and encountered the influence of modern life and its challenges in varied forms and manners. That is the reason that for many centuries the analytical elaboration and rationalization has been the fundamental genre of Islamic law in its quest for legal identity. The present study explored the response to the perception about Islam as conservative and extremist religion. An analysis of renowned Muslim scholars was included to elaborate the modernist trend in Muslim world and to point out which reformist trends actually create confusion about Islam in layman?s opinion. This investigative evaluation formed a major approach of this research. The Muslims? response to the challenge of modernity and struggle to reconcile the requirements of modernization with their cultural and religious values will be the main focus of the study. The research will conclude by identifying the commonalities, comparisons, and trends in the modernizing movements in contemporary era. Concepts about Love, Sex and Marriage during the Early Communist Regime in Bulgaria Abstract: The paper focuses on the disciplining of sexuality in the family frame during the first two decades of the communist rule in Bulgaria. It analyses legislative documents against divorce, abortion and cohabitation; speeches of high-standing party functionaries on the role of the communist family and the danger from sexual corruption; the media campaigns and early repressive practices against youngsters with loose behavior. The paper draws the conclusion that both the conceptualization and the legislative actions aiming to preserve family morality perceived sexual practices in Bulgaria during the early communist regime as legitimate as long as they were reproductive sexual relationships between spouses. The pursuit of sexual satisfaction as an end in itself, even within the framework of family life, was rendered unacceptable. In this respect the study uses some of Foucault?s reflections about ?the great appropriation of sexual ethic by family morals? but also tries to show the difference between communist and bourgeois family. In its final part the paper makes an attempt to clarify the reasons for the intensification of the repression upon sexuality in Bulgaria under communist rule. Globally, there are successful mobile blood donation apps facilitating blood donation by providing useful services to blood donors, however similar apps available in South Africa are new, and not popular when compared to global standards. An estimated 5.9 million South Africans download and use mobile applications (apps), and this paper explores the process and results from the first phase of a study, which employed a sequential mixed method research design, to identify user-preferred features for a mobile blood donation app. The findings of the study should serve as a roadmap to blood donation organisations in South Africa, regarding what users expect from a blood donation app, and which features may possibly stimulate a constant or increased frequency of blood donation instances. The two largest app stores, Google Play and Apple iOS, served as the sources of the eventual sample of blood donation apps, of which the user reviews were analysed. Commenting from a design science paradigm, this paper reports on the selection process that had been followed to sample the relevant apps, and further discusses the user insights gained from the analysis of these apps' reviews. The paper further reports on how the app review analysis findings informed the creation of an interview schedule, that was used to gain in-depth understanding of perceptions held by users of the blood donation apps, specifically regarding the users' preferred features in these types of apps. To analyze our model, we used tweets from three sources namely generic Indian tweets, a specific user profile tweet and tweets of particular hashtags. The tweets are fetched using Twitter API. The fetched data is preprocessed by analyzing structure of tweets to find interesting analysis like most retweeted tweet, most favorited tweets, trending hashtags etc. Then tweets are tokenized and POS (parts of speech) tagging is done on tokens to find nouns, verbs, adverbs and adjectives which are relevant for the analysis. We apply various relevance models on the data, to find sentiment of each tweet and ideological stance of the user. The results are shown using spider graph. It was observed that the model worked with 73% accuracy. Cultural memory is basically defined as the interplay of past and present in socio cultural contexts, and it is expressed in processes of communication through a variety of symbolic systems, such as language, writing, images, artifacts (Erll, Sturken). In TV series "Screams of death and freedom" (Mexico, 2010; Dir. María Fernanda Suárez), "Juana Inés" (Mexico, 2017; Dir. Patricia Arriaga), and movies "Let?s not talk about it" (Argentina,1994; Dir. María Luia Bemberg), and "I, the worst of all" (Argentina, 1990; Dir. Maria Luisa Bemberg) female characters are constructed through the use of slow motion, close-up and other visual narrative techniques which allow a connection with the optical unconscious. The optical unconscious, a concept developed by Walter Benjamin ?which runs parallel to the instinctual unconscious in psychoanalysis-, refers to the contribution of photography and film towards an understanding of human perception, that is, movement and dimensions of reality that otherwise go unacknowledged in the analysis of visual images. In film, close-up and slow motion are not only narrative devices and techniques, but tools that by ?bring[ing] to light entirely new structures of matter? (Benjamin) function as the means to a state of heightened perception -the optical unconscious- and facilitates new ways of seeing and of conceptualizing reality. Directors Arriaga, Bemberg and Suárez display a more intuitive and powerful approach to narration about women of the past through the use of technical resources, such as slow motion. Other than the most common purposeful use of slow motion camera to re orient the viewer?s attention and perspective by highlighting dramatic attitudes and gestures in specific scenes of climax or resolution, Arriaga, Bemberg and Suárez are revealing in themselves, and facilitating in the viewers, a point of entry to the optical unconscious. Thus, they create new ways of seeing. Equally important, the use of those techniques potentially illustrate the close and reciprocal connection between ?historical viewing and historical thinking? (Anderson). Abstract: With a shift towards global education and ?world-class? universities, reliable methods to measure the quality of courses becomes more pertinent. The quality of Japanese higher education has been questioned. Simultaneously, the quality assessment system in Japanese higher education has been called fragmented. The Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) is recognised as a statically reliable and valid tool for assessing the efficacy of courses and is used in higher education in many countries around the world including Australia and the UK. Therefore, there is potential for its use in Japanese institutions. However, it is based on Western concepts of student learner theories. Confucian values influence Japanese education. Therefore, the extent to which the CEQ could be applicable for use in Japanese higher education requires examining. However, this remains largely unexplored. In this paper first, Japanese academia is examined using two constructs: 1. Hofstede?s cultural dimensions, and 2. a Confucian framework. The findings are then used to examine concepts within the CEQ, to unearth their applicability within Japanese education. This study reveals there are potentially complex ramifications related to implementing the CEQ as a tool for measurement in Japanese higher education. Further research into student learner theories in a Japanese context is recommended to find a way forward for global assessment in higher education. Experts generally point out that it is the existence of intercultural competence which facilitates intercultural communication. The purpose of the present paper is to discuss the effect of intercultural competence on intercultural communication. Therefore the paper reviews the most relevant literature of the topic, and emphasizes the consequences of the lack of intercultural competence on intercultural communication with the help of some case studies collected among Hungarian businesspeople working with partners with different cultural backgrounds. Finally, the paper draws conclusions about the effect of intercultural competence on intercultural communication. We like to think that we are logical, objective, rational and reasonable in our decision making even when we are strongly affected by our own personal feelings. Cognitive biases represent the methodical way a person justifies an illogical way of thinking. Individual cognitive biases influence decision making. Clever marketers use their understanding of cognitive biases to convince people to make purchases. Understanding cognitive biases can help marketers impact how we buy, sell, feel, think and interact. There are numerous articles, research papers, and white papers discussing how marketers make use of cognitive biases, but there are no studies to demonstrate, which cognitive bias which is guided by individual need that may further result in the purchase decision. The present study is based on the presumption that purchase decisions for the products satisfying needs at various levels of Maslow?s need hierarchy will be guided by different cognitive biases. To check this presumption the present study is conducted to map which cognitive biases used by marketers in advertisements of products satisfying various needs of an individual got converted in purchase of the product. The results of the study suggest which cognitive biases should be used for products at various need hierarchy levels for effective marketing. The proposed service/system (MUST) is based on European (EGNSS) Galileo and will be used by citizens (C), local government (G) and local business (B). MUST's aim is to provide universal access to real-time technical infrastructure information in the current location with the use of satellite navigation (Galileo), geospatial data and WxS services with use of Augmented Reality and Smart Cities technologies. The proposed service will increase the digital interaction between citizens and local government (G2C) as well as local government and local business (G2B). In addition, the service will be able to provide information about the attractiveness of particular area, thus providing a valuable source of knowledge about the potential users of urbanized space for local government units. The main technical task is to develop a location-based system (based on Galileo) that will allow real-time identification of users/citizens, real estate (plots), technical infrastructure, and at the same time respond to plans for the deployment of new, EGNSS signal. The innovative and functional result of this project will be the mobile MUST service, which eliminates the biggest barriers to the use of e-government platforms and provides unique information on the cost of connecting to the infrastructure within a planned investment. In this study, a refrigeration system test rig equipped with pressure and temperature sensors was run with raw oil and nano lubricant separately to compare heat removal rate at the evaporator and a digital energy meter was utilized to determine COP variation. The results suggested that nano particle incorporation was very effective especially in COP by average of 11% due to good tribological features of CuO nano particles in the context of friction reduction in the compressor piston-liner mechanism of the compressor.
