This change has always been due to some reasons which have absorbed historians', philosophers' and researchers' attention. In fact, change and transformation have been considered as integral parts, inherent nature and internal features of human societies. What matter is that every change and transformation happens because of some reasons that have historical, cultural, political and social roots, all of which realize in the context of history and force the human society to experience change and transformation.Ibn Khaldun as a social researcher and history philosopher has constantly paid attention to the inherent dynamics and internal upheaval of the human society and discussed its movement course, quality of change procedure in the context of history. He concerned both short-term and long-term changes. He has spent time seeking such social changes. Ibn Khaldun' attitude to social changes can be considered as a kind of evolutionism, because he in his historical explanation and analysis of human communities and relevant processes, looked at both evolution and its causes and also various stages of social transformation and its features. In fact, from Ibn Khaldun's point of view, movement from a certain kind of community to another takes place in a longitudinal link and communities are located in cyclic and evolutionary process, that is, every community comes into existence and takes steps to perfection, it begins its downward trend then, finally changes into another one. What matters in the attitude of Ibn Khaldun, is that he never believes this cyclic and evolutionary movement of communities and their repeatability to be algebraic and uniform. In his opinion this movement is a kind of evolution and creation accompanied by growth and perfection. Thus societies emerge, are formed, grow and develop, eventually are transformed, but their existence signs, that is, culture and civilization never disappear completely and just are transferred from one community to another. So another community with previous cultural background and civilization is formed in another horizon. Therefore, in Ibn Khaldun's view, change and transformation is not a closed cycle but it has an open horizon toward perfection and progress. In this article, efforts have been made to study the historical, philosophical causes of social changes and transformation from Ibn Khaldun's perspective. This study examines the impact of the variation in CP on financial performance (FP). Using UK data comprising FTSE 350 firms from the period of 2007 to 2015. We also document a significant negative relationship between environmental regulations and FP. Our overall findings are consistent with the resource based view (RBV) of the firm and support the voluntary disclosure strategy by showing that firms with greater intangible resources are generating reputational assets through their enhanced carbon disclosures which in turn leads to a competitive advantage which converts into improved FP as evidenced in the present study. The Industry 4.0 concept has emerged in 2011 in Germany and later has been adopted and investigated by both academic and practitioners in many other advanced countries. Two main new technologies associated by and will have a great impact on industry 4.0. In this review paper, we shielded the light on cloud computing and big data. We present the possibilities and challenges associated with these technologies. The review reveals that sharing, efficiency in production and information sharing are the main possibilities of cloud computing meanwhile the security and privacy are main concerns. From other hand big data brings many opportunities like cost reduction, support the efficiency of decision making, however challenges related to large-scale parallel system and technical challenges still need to be addressed. Sample of the study consisted of 98 students pursuing their third year in primary teacher education department of Faculty of Education at Giresun University which is located at Northeastern part of Turkey. Data for the study was collected through the use of ?Scientific Epistemological Beliefs Scale? and ?Attitudes toward science scale?. Scientific epistemological beliefs scale was developed by Elder (1999) and adapted into Turkish by Acat, Tüken & Karada? (2010). Attitudes toward science were assessed by utilizing an attitude scale consisted of 34 items which was constructed by using items from various attitude scales. Data was analyzed through statistical techniques such as means, t-test and regression analysis. Findings of the study showed that pre-service classroom teachers? scientific epistemological beliefs differentiated for the dimensions of the scale from naive to sophisticated beliefs. There was not a significant difference between male and female pre-service teachers in terms of scientific epistemological beliefs and attitudes toward science. The results of the study also showed that there is a positive correlation between the scientific epistemological beliefs and attitudes towards science. Specifically, generalizing from the first industrial revolution (FIR) in Great Britain and the U.S. post-bellum economic growth (1880-1900) and second industrial revolution (SIR), we show that two fundamental conditions appear to be necessary, namely the existence of a set of new market opportunities (pull) as well as the existence of a new set of process innovations/new technologies (push). In other words, the overriding, underlying shock (i.e. the ultimate cause) must induce push and pull factors, without which the revolution in question will not occur. In the case of the first industrial revolution, we argue that the migration of 100,000-140,000 French Huguenot refugees to the shores of England, Ireland and Scotland was among the causes, while in the case of the second industrial revolution, it was the steam engine which ultimately contributed to the opening up of the West, the creation of a national market and the resulting mass production. In this research, meta-analysis method was adopted to determine the effect of teaching of learning strategies on students? academic achievement and the studies in relation with the subject carried out in Turkey were combined. The effect sizes of the studies included in the meta-analysis were compared in regard of instructional level, course type, and publication type variables. This meta-analysis sought an answer to the problem statement of ?What kind of effect does teaching of learning strategies have on students? academic achievement levels?? Some certain criteria were taken into consideration to include the studies in the meta-analysis. According to the selected criteria, the experimental studies (N = 11) were included in the research. At the end of the research, it was concluded that teaching of learning strategies had a moderate effect size (d = 0.818) on students? academic achievement levels. Besides, while the effect sizes obtained as a result of the meta-analysis were compared with respect to instructional level, course type, publication type variables, it was revealed that there were significant differences in regard of the effect sizes of the studies with respect to all variables in the research. Though, it has recently become more volatile due to the economic recession that adversely and unevenly hit energy consumption in most EU countries and their energy end-use sectors. Eurostat?s data unveils the considerable differences that exist in finale energy consumption across the ?old? and post-transition EU countries as well as the major energy end-user sectors. Using random effects panel model, this paper aims to estimate the effect of the Great Recession and the membership status (?old? vs. post-transition groups) on final energy consumption in the major energy end-user sectors for the period 1998 ? 2015. The empirical evidence indicates statistically significant impact of both predictors on final energy consumption of households/services and industry. However, the impact is not uniform which raises several important questions regarding their behavior and reaction to the recession. Since the recession reduced the wealth and income of the European households, it seems that they are not prone to invest in more energy-efficient appliances, technologies and innovations in tough economic times. In contrast, such behavior is a precondition for survival and future growth of industry. However, what is the proper assessment, when one refrains from a legal duty due to religious reasons, or one refuses to participate in compulsory commitments on religious grounds? It should be highlighted, that freedom of religion influences almost all areas of life worldwide, the issues which are raised, are quite similar in the different countries. As for demonstration, it is broadly accepted, that the free exercise of religion shall not violate disproportionately the fundamental rights of others. The definition of religion and church shall be precised. It is also questionable, whether there is a right to convert someone to one?s religion. Our contribution is dedicated to these issues. It follows the goal of General System Theory, the transfer of models from other disciplines, which can be used to improve missing mechanisms. An interdisciplinary, self-developed model ? M&M model ? is the focus of research, which prescribes the optimal portfolio distribution in the ratio 1:1:1:4. The model combines the results achieved in the field of organizational development, system theory and chaos theory in one model. This optimization method was compared with the 1:1:1:1 (Modern Portfolio Theory) and 1:1:1:2 (40/20 Portfolio) distributions to search for the optimal distribution of a portfolio. Diversification and focusing are strategic decisions. Using them and managing a portfolio as a system can contribute to deductibles, self-development and sustainability. In a post-crisis period and low global interest rate environment, the demand for simultaneously profitable and crisis-proof investments has increased sharply. To this we would like to carry the self-developed, heuristic M&M model, as optimization aid and based on it the Rolling Nuts Method, as a continuous value-added process. However, it is important to note that our model is not yet final and is under testing. In the future we intend to analyze more data and research the restructuring as decision-making processes, in order to already compare strategic lifecycle planning. The article offers a look into the mechanisms and instruments of Romanian decentralization system and outlines the gap between a syncopeted decentralization system and the public administration activities. The diversity of concepts and skills, related to decentralization launched in the European Administrative Space, results in decreased rigidity of existing state organizations, encouraging local government to explore new forms of decentralization and cooperation. The analysis of the local government allowed us to identify the place of the community in relation to the central apparatus of the state, meaning its inclusion in the local government sub-system, in terms of territorial structure. The research aimed the way local government were built and configured, focusing on the principle of decentralization and local autonomy, which is the basis of these institutions and reveals local democracy. A final section covers the study on the complexity of legal relations established between the state, local government and Governors. In summary, the purpose of the paper is to stimulate the reflection on how the local government change their position in the administrative space, within a complex process that increases the role of local government, the inter-institutional changes and democratization of the local administrative system. According to the Directive 2005/29/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council the average consumer is a person who is reasonably well-informed and reasonably observant and circumspect, taking into account social, cultural and linguistic factors, as interpreted by the Court of Justice, but also contains provisions aimed at preventing the exploitation of consumers whose characteristics make them particularly vulnerable to unfair commercial practices. This definition is based on indefinite terms which national law usually does not specify. At the same time, there is a need for understanding, who exactly the average consumer (investor) is, especially when judging disputes on investment or other matters on capital markets. From the perspective of workplace loyalty as well, this generation differs significantly from other generations: they don't consider skipping to another job a problem at all, if they don't like their current job for some reason. In light of this, preparing for the new generation is advised, like getting to know what attributes they have related to employment, and what techniques can be used to increase their loyalty. The results of my primary research will aid experts in finding answers to these questions. The automatic approach was based on a co-word analysis and combines performance analysis and science mapping. The considerable number of studies published according to the journals in energy and fuel field focus on oil and gas research indexed in ISI Web of Science makes it possible to undertake a conceptual analysis of how the field has evolved. To observe the conceptual evolution of energy and fuel, we define three consecutive periods: 1990-2000, 2001-2008, 2009-2018. The results show that energy and fuel focus on oil and gas research are distributed in ten main theoretical areas: VEGETABLE-OILS, BIO-OIL, OIL, DIESEL-FUEL, PERFORMANCE, BIO-DIESEL, BIOMASS, CRUDE-OIL, RENEWABLE-ENERGY, SHALE. The research output could be used by the scientific community to identify thematic areas and to know the evolution of the energy and fuel field. We will analyze the economic-financial behavior of the multinationals through the financial statements in the framework of the peak of oil. The peak of oil can affect the most important financial statements (for example, investment risk, leverage) used by investors and shareholders. The methodology consists of two steps: (1) create a knowledge base based on information from the financial statements of the five major companies and (2) investigate whether the peak of oil has an economic-financial impact on the key financial ratios. All three methods contain that they are carried out in vertical analysis, horizontal analysis and financial ratios. These three methods are part of the analysis of the financial statements. The results suggest that the drop-in oil production affects investment decisions in new oil projects, dividend payment policy and stock purchases. Additionally, we study the evolution of oil prices in relation to the parts of the financial statements of the companies studied. Although oil prices were at important levels, nevertheless, companies had a decrease in net income due to the phenomenon of peak oil production. Investments in oil projects have been profitable, managers have been influenced by the peak of oil. The phenomenon of peak oil is something that has to do with the account of the investment policies of companies. The duration of the oil peak and the fluctuation of the price of oil is verified by the recipients of future investment in oil and gas. Science fiction? No. Genetics? Again, no. Time, be it spent on leisure or work, is the latest commodity we all are short on ? for this reason the man of the twenty-first century seeks to make the most out of a given unit of time, with the result of a pressure to cram more and more activities into a short span of time.Combining physical measures of time spent on main and second activities as recorded in time use surveys we are able to define the true length of our days in logical measures of time ? to arrive to longevity I will term extended life; at the same time, analyzing variance of said survey data, it is possible to obtain answers to the crunch of time as experienced by all of us.Analyzing numbers and characteristics of activities of those complaining of time stress, we shall use the novel way mentioned above to discuss if their life is rushed indeed.Working with time use patterns and ?strategies my aim is to point out the quandary of the individual of our times ? one of the greatest motivational and self-justifying problem in itself defining his very integration into society: the lack, or perceived lack of time and its characteristics. We shall be paying particular attention to what socio-demographic characteristics might increase or decrease stress of time in our lives and proof that the patriarchal time regime does exist indeed. The analysis is theoretical and empirical. In the theory we can discuss two extreme scenarios: decentralised (60% own revenue, 40 % external revenue) and centralised system of public finance (40% own revenue, 60 % external revenue). If we assume only 40% share of own revenue, taxes, in the structure of financing sources for local government units, the consequence of this is low budget resilience to unfavourable external and internal factors and high probability of occurrence of broadly understood negative income shocks. The aim of the discussion is to analyse the trends in the practice of local government finances in Poland and selected countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The literature of the subject, studies by international institutions as well as data from Eurostat and EC are used in the deliberations. The discussed countries differ significantly in the scope of fiscal decentralisation. Latvia, the Czech Republic and Poland seem to be most advanced in the process. However the example of Poland shows limits and difficulties with interpretation of statistical measures. It is necessary to look at the categories of revenues which belong to the so-called "own revenues". It is questionable that in Poland we treat in the statistics the shares in Personal Income Tax and Corporate Income Tax as own revenues. Local government units do not exert any influence on the structure and amount of PIT and CIT (category of shared taxes). The autonomy in expenditure without real fiscal autonomy and responsibility leads to fiscal illusions and undermine the local democracy. Therefore, for anyone wanting to go to university the only option was to move to Reykjavík or attend a university in a foreign. That changed in the year of 1987 with the establishment of Akureyri University. Akureyri University, located in the northern region of Iceland, has been instrumental in the economic growth of the region and a key factor in building up knowledge in rural places in Iceland. In the recent years, Akureyri University has developed teaching methods to be able to offer blended learning and distance learning study programmes. Now it possible for students all over the country to seek and get education wherever they may be located. The University of Akureyri has now around 2.000 students. Majority, about two thirds, of the students are off-campus students, using the technology to access their studies, their lectures, their classes and so on. Majority of these students are located in Iceland but about 5% of them are located outside of Iceland. A qualitative research was done among several former students of Akureyri University in rural areas in Iceland. The aim was to study the impact of knowledge building and edification in the rural societies in Iceland. In this presentation the main finding of this research will be explained and the role of Akureyri University in building up knowledge in the rural parts of Iceland discussed. Technology has changed the ways of teaching and the university is now aiming to make all of the studies flexible and independent of time and space. This study (NRF-2017R1A2B2009743) is to confirm the possibility of quality control by estimating the depth using nondestructive tests at the early age in concrete column members. Concrete specimens were constructed with 2400mm in length, 2400mm in width and 1600mm in height for the design strengths of 24MPa, 30MPa and 40MPa. Impact echo method, which is one of the nondestructive test methods, was conducted in accordance with ASTM C 1384-04 for the depth estimation of concrete column members. Experiments were carried out on the 6th day after removal the forms at 5th day of age using the impact echo technique. For the specimen with a design strength of 24MPa, the error ratio is 3.5% for the column member size 250mm, 1.1% for the column member size 300mm, 3.1% for the column member size 400mm, 0.6% for the column member size 500mm. The overall average error ratio is 2.1%. For the specimen with a design strength of 30MPa, the error ratio is 1.5% for the column member size of 250mm, 1.8% for the column member size of 300mm, 3.3% for the column member size of 400mm, 7.0% for the column member size 500mm. The overall average error ratio is 3.4%. For the specimen with a design strength of 40MPa, the error ratio is 3.0% for the column member size of 250mm, 1.4% for the column member size of 300mm, 4.0% for the column member size of 400mm, 4.2% for the column member size 500mm. The overall average error ratio is 3.2%.The overall error rate for the strength and size of the specimen is 2.9%, which resulted in high reliability. The nondestructive test method was used to confirm the possibility of quality control by estimating the depth of early age concrete structures. The reason of such a managerial decision consists in the evolution of the market and buying decision stereotypes. So far, branding theory do not know how to explain that traditionally valuable brands lose their value sharply despite their position in global brand value rankings have not indicated it. The danger of this situation is really high. So, the aim of this paper is to verify through the cluster analysis based on secondary data from Interbrand ranking our hypothesis that the scissors between actual brand value of traditional and modern brands are opening more and more. But the resources of the SME sector and its management skills are often also limited. By developing this skills, the limited resources available can be utilized more efficiently, so the competitiveness of the companies could be improved. The lean approach as an attitude, common sense, does not require excessive resources, so they can be useful in the SME sector. This study analyses, how deeply the lean thinking are present in some division of the Hungarian SME sector, and make some comparisons between the divisions. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. SMEs? representatives, mostly CEOs and managers from some divisions of the Hungarian manufacturing industry participated in the survey.Out of the results it shows that the level of the lean usage is low among the Hungarian SMEs, so there are development reserves in the usage of lean practices. Strengthening thinking in processes beyond the factory, employee involvement and related leadership development can lead to efficiency gains, but it is important to note that without external experts a wider improvement is not expected. This requires a change of leadership, and state incentives are needed to accelerate thisThe background of the research method was created to fit the available literature so that to be able to be used in other countries. The main goal of Nobanet is to create and widely disseminate new knowledge on successful internationalization in the Nordic-Baltic region. This aim is achieved through close cooperation of higher education institutions and SMEs in the entire region. Faculty, students and companies work closely together within educational courses and through real-life international assignments. The main goal of this presentation is to explain how real-life assignments across borders can benefit all three groups: students, educators, and the SMEs. Students were tasked with finding strategies to facilitate the company?s entry into a new market, what the company?s marketing strategy should be, who would be their target market, and so on. Surveys were done, one for each of the three groups. All three groups were asked about cooperation between universities and SMEs, specifically the advantages and disadvantages of a cooperation between these three groups. The result from the student group shows that this kind of a cooperation was rewarding to the students, the students said that direct interactions with SMEs through real-life cross border assignments felt more important than regular assignments. The students also pointed out that it was inspiring for them to work with a real-life company knowing that their results could have an impact on the real world. The teachers pointed out that having new and real assignments was important to them and through this cooperation; it was easy to connect the theory to reality. As for the companies, they got consultancy from students in the market they wished to enter and got marketing plans and marketing entry plans that they could easily put in practice. The findings of the research urges further collaboration between these three parties. The literature on the topic is vast and it allows to delineate a profile of frequent users identifying socio-demographic (age, gender, nationality) and clinical (chronic diseases, drugs and alcohol abuse; psychic illnesses) risk factors. However, most of the studies on the topic limit the analysis to one-year period or to a single study site and there is no consensus on the definition of frequent use. Frequent users are generally defined as those patients reporting a number of accesses per year beyond a certain threshold. The selection of the threshold is often based on previous literature or on percentiles but the definitions vary considerably and the choice tends to be subjective. In this study, the focus will be placed on paediatric patients, with reference to which the contributions in the literature are still very limited. The objective is to identify the most important drivers of ED frequent use in the 19 EDs of Liguria region (Italy) during a three-year period (2013-2015). The dataset contains 287,242 accesses referred to 144,895 under 14 patients and it includes information on patients? characteristics and on their clinical pathway. To overcome the limitations connected to previous definitions of frequent use, we exploit the availability of data on three years; this allows to define, not only frequent use, but also its duration (i.e. One-shot / Multiple shot frequent use) and intensity (Normal, High, Very high). By the use of logit and multinomial logit regressions we identify a set of risk factors associated to frequent use and to the different forms of frequent use. Results show that even if frequent users represent a small share of patients (9%) they contribute to roughly 25% of accesses. Chronic conditions are the most relevant determinants of frequent use (particularly mental disorders, diseases of the respiratory system) but also foreign nationality turns out to be an important predictor. Differences emerge in the impact of regressors on the different forms of frequent use defined according to its duration and intensity. The study represents an important tool to support policy-making and to discriminate between the potentially preventable frequent use (i.e. inappropriate use) and that associated to complex medical conditions, such as chronic conditions. However, in most of these models, an important effect suggested by Malthus has been frequently omitted. By including what he had called ?the great preventive check? in the traditional Malthusian model which is based on the principle of population, the principle of diminishing returns and the principle of labour division, the transition can be modelled in a very simple dynamic macroeconomic framework. The aim of this paper is to first construct and calibrate the suggested classical model and to eventually employ a conventional VAR-Method to provide evidence of the above principles using country-specific annual historical data on crude birth rate, crude death rate and GDP per capita growth rate. As a result, it is argued that emerging economies follow a universal macroeconomic pattern of development. A decreasing death rate is succeeded by a decreasing birth rate which at the same time induces GDP per capita to rise sustainably. The correspondingly advanced microeconomic theory suggests that increasing life expectancy tends to create a demographic structure that is much less prone to overpopulation. The data gathered, reported, and analyzed in this paper includes a comparison of two academic years of data, showing results by/for different teachers? classes. The question of educational value for money, fair spread of teacher resources, and positive or negative discrimination is tackled. Findings show there tends to be both positive and negative discrimination within class levels, where students who initially score well on placement tests are assigned ?better? teachers, while lower level students tend to be assigned lower performing teachers, resulting in a ?low skill trap?, despite all students paying the same fees. The MADRE project, which stands for ?Metropolitan Agriculture for Developing and innovative sustainable and Responsible Economy?, is designing a methodological framework in order to identify and characterize best practices of MPA in Mediterranean urban conurbations. Aiming at promoting a change process in the metropolitan food supply model, the project will focus on identifying key factors that foster and hamper MPA development according to stakeholders actively involved in MPA, i.e. key players from the quadruple helix involving private actors (farmers, producers and SMEs), civil society (consumers? groups, NGOs), academia and research and public authorities. It should be noted that the MPA innitiatives started to be more and more considered as an important factor for supplying food to the city dwellers, not only in developing countries but also to the metropolitans of the Northern sphere. It can play a crucial role towards encountering climate change by backing up urban ecosystems and urban biodiversity. To address the challenges of MPA, the approach proposed by MADRE partners is to allow a technical and political empowerment of local food production networks of five countries (France, Greece, Italy, Albania and Spain) through the development of a transnational cluster of MPA stakeholders. Such a transnational organization and networking, will allow those actors to foster their eco-innovation capacity (i.e. producers? innovation, consumers? innovation, social innovation, territorial innovation, transnational innovation and academic research) and thus to increase their impact on national, regional and metropolitan policies. Although there are still gaps of knowledge and uncertainties in studying sustainability issues for the three pillars (environment, economy and society) the proposed approach provides a roadmap for decision-makers to put forward urban agriculture in an organized manner. The level of the economies of scale of living together is reflected in an equivalence scale. This scale of consumption units assigns to each individual household member the specific weight according to defined rules. In this time the scales for all European country are applied. OECD uses the OECD scale while Eurostat uses the OECD-modified equivalence scale. It allows the international comparison of income and consumption level of households across all states. However, this commonly used scales may not be suitable for all countries, because they do not reflect any country specific economic conditions. Economies of scales are highly dependent on the structure of household consumption and expenditures which varies significantly across countries. Therefore, the need of national equivalence scales appropriate for each country is observed. The aim of this contribution is to compare the international scales with the equivalence scales estimated within our research. These scales are suitable for the Czech Republic as they take into account the economies of scale realized by Czech households. Two alternative approaches have been applied: an expenditure equation and utility function. The first one uses household budget survey data (HBS), the second approach is based on survey on income and living conditions (SILC). It has been proved that estimated equivalence scales differ to international ones. Subsequently, the impact in income and poverty indicators has been assessed. Overall effect on poverty indicators is not big, however a significant impact on specific group of people is observed. Mainly influenced groups are children and pensioners. The national scales affect the countries differently, especially in comparison of specific groups of by their social status. The second approach allows also international comparison as SILC is harmonized in Europe. The different impact of equivalence scales across European states is provided. Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) estimator is the Best Linear Unbiased Estimator (BLUE) for the unknown population parameters of this model. Unfortunately, sometimes two or more of the regressors may be moderately or highly correlated causing multicollinearity problem. Various biased estimators are proposed to refine the ill-conditioning of X?X matrix and shrink the variance under the multicollinearity. The most popular of them is Ridge estimator. But it may worsen the fit when solving the ill-conditioning problem. Two-Parameter Ridge (2PR) and Liu Type (LT) estimators are proposed to overcome the fitting degeneration of Ridge estimator by using a tuning parameter. In this study, holding the parameter refining the ill-conditioning of X?X matrix fixed, the success of the tuning parameters of these estimators is investigated. Minimizers of Predicted Sum of Squares (PRESS) and Generalized Cross Validation (GCV) statistics are used as estimates of tuning parameters. Optimum parameter estimates are compared via their Scalar Mean Squared Errors (SMSE). It is observed that the SMSEs of estimates obtained by LT and 2PR estimators decreases when estimates of parameter refining the ill-conditioning of X?X matrix increases, and in all cases estimates obtained by the 2PR estimator are much more efficient than estimates obtained by LT and OLS estimators. In general, it is argued that the short run effect of currency depreciation is to worsen the trade balance, but this is reversed in the long run; thus, producing the J-curve shape. The aim of this study is to investigate the short run and long run effects of the real effective exchange rate on the trade balance of Turkey and to infer whether Marshall-Lerner condition and J-curve effect exist. To do that, monthly data covering the period 2003:M1-2017:M3 is used. The relationship between variables is estimated using autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model, and Bounds test is applied to examine the existence of a long run relationship. Overall results are in favor of a long run relationship and suggest that Marshall-Lerner condition is satisfied. No evidence is found supporting J-curve effect. Each company must integrate in its strategy, the implementation of a societal responsibility approach to attract new national and international market. The big Moroccan companies are aware of the importance of this trend, but this notion is still new for Moroccan SME (small and medium enterprise). The purpose of this article is to determine societal responsibility practices in Morocco and in SMEs in the province of El Jadida in particular. SMEs in this region have an important role in national industrial development. The first part is devoted to defending social responsibility in general and in Morocco in particular. Next, we identify the social responsibility practices that differentiate the Moroccan SME. For the third part we will present the research methodology and show the results obtained from the survey. In the last decade 282,2 million kuna has been invested on the area of Vara?din and Me?imurje county in the Republic of Croatia and the result has been activation of 52 zones financed from public sources and generation of 14,4 thousand working vacancies (Republic of Croatia, Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Crafts, 2015). Despite certain employment capacity there is still a large number of non-active or half-filled entrepreneurial zones that are a reason for suspicion in cost effectiveness of these investments. In this paper investment efficiency of local self-government units (municipalities and towns) on the area of Vara?din and Me?imurje county in the Republic of Croatia has been assessed by using data envelopment analysis. The analysis has been conducted by using CCR and BCC model oriented on outputs. Concretely, the results of the conducted analysis are valuable due to the fact that political management of towns and municipalities ? that has been non-efficient investor in entrepreneurial zones ? is given information on necessary changes and their extent and also on good practice examples from neighbour towns and municipalities. These laws are enacted by qualified majority, by the consent of the two chambers of the legislation, they are subject to mandatory constitutional review before their promulgation, or additional safeguards are implemented in the ordinary legislative process. Organic law appears in the French, the Spanish and the Hungarian legal system also as main models. Later, further European countries implemented organic law in their legal system, such as Portugal, Romania or Moldova. Organic law is also known in Latin-America. In Africa, a total of 19 countries have implemented organic law: Algeria; Angola; Benin; Burkina Faso; Central African Republic; Chad; Djibouti; Equatorial Guinea; Gabon; Guinea; Ivory Coast; Democratic Republic of Congo; Republic of Congo; Madagascar; Mauritania; Morocco; Niger; Senegal; Togo; Tunisia; and Cape Werde Islands. Although the fact, that organic law has been introduced in a huge number of African countries, this phenomena has not been researched in depth int he relevant African literature. Several questions might be raised: whether the implementation of organic law is a mere copy of European (French and Portugal) samples, or internal African reasons may be also identifiable? What is the role of organic law in African constitutional systems, could organic laws promote the stability of African constitutional frameworks? Is there any regional differences between organic laws? African organic laws differs remarkably from their European counterparts? Is there any African discussion or jurisprudence from the legal category of organic law?My study will address such issues, and would provide a broad overview from African organic laws. I have three main purposes: to understand the characteristics of African organic laws; to compare the relevant African and the European models; and to analyse the perspectives of organic laws in Africa. My concept would be based on a combined strands of first and secondary African and European sources, which have been rarely used in this integrated manner. Kaplan and David P. Norton developed a balanced evaluation- and index-system that supports the implementation of the strategy. This strategic control tool is the Balanced Scorecard which approaches and evaluates the company's activities and strategy from several perspectives, viewpoints. Today, one of the most important trend is the Industry 4.0 which creates intelligent, networked value chains through cyber-physical systems. Planning and deploying this is not easy but as a strategic issue it must appear in the Balanced Scorecard. Indicators to assist in the implementation of Industry 4.0 should be built in. We are reviewing the importance of Industry 4.0 and developing a Balanced Scorecard model that includes the factors that help to implement the strategy at Industry 4.0. This resurgence is related with the reactivation of small businesses and the emergence of an "entrepreneurial culture". Since Richard Cantillon introduced the term for the first time in 1755, several entrepreneurship theories have been put forward by scholars to explain the entrepreneurial phenomenon. This variety of theories causes that this field have a weak conceptual framework. This research, therefore, has a double purpose. On the one hand it aims to review and summarize the multidisciplinary nature of the different entrepreneurship theories. On the other hand, this paper gives a critical review showing the strengths and weaknesses of these theories. In order to achieve these objectives and understanding that the research of these theories continues to be important for the development of this field, this paper classifies 26 entrepreneurship theories into four Mainstreams (Economic, Psychological, Sociological and Management Entrepreneurship Theories). Then, this work summarizes the main proposals of each entrepreneurship theory. Finally, this research presents some critics and limitations to the entrepreneurship theories in order to present some future research directions. From the above discussions, this research concludes that it is clear that the field of entrepreneurship have some interesting and relevant theories. But taking advantage of the renewal fascination with the study of the entrepreneurship field and the multiplicity of interpretations and alternative approaches that have been developed, it is time to refocus our efforts at integrating the diverse viewpoints and to analyze if there are any common denominators within the diversity of entrepreneurship literature. The value of this investigation can be appreciated from two points of view: (1) it facilitate researchers the integration of diverse perspectives that allow finding any common denominator within the entrepreneurial literature diversity and (2) helps to identify specific gaps within the entrepreneurship field that have not yet been studied and that must be answered. So, this investigation pretends to contribute to the study, research and practice of the entrepreneurship field. Selecting an export market as part of an internationalization process requires the analyses of political, economic, social, cultural and legal environments, but also to examine a wide range of public services, purchasing power and demand-related issues, as well as international trade indicators. The need to obtain information concerning the destination markets is therefore fundamental. However, this type of analysis in most cases is a difficult situation, because not all companies (specially the small ones) have enough experience to carry out this analysis on their own and/or they don´t have enough investment capacity to contract a consultancy firm to do the research for them. So, the aim of this research is to propose a tool which assists companies when facing the challenge of selecting the most appropriate market for the internationalization of their products, i.e. providing an answer to the question of how to choose an appropriate export market. The tool is divided into three stages, as it is commonly agreed in the majority literature available on the process of market selection. In each of these stages, different indicators are defined, in order to finish with a comparison of different analytic-quantitative indicators through a 7-dimensional weighted decision matrix. However, this tool can also be generalized and used by companies searching for new markets abroad, as well as consulting companies or also it will be useful for future researchers that require a procedure to evaluate the potential of countries as export destination. The validity of the tool is proven through a case study, where it can be concluded that the obtained results through the applied methodology don´t differ from reality. This research is not exempt from some limitations. First, it has to be said that the reach of the tool is restricted to a selection analysis based on external factors that are not related to the internal environment of the company. Second, the methodology was developing with some no standard indicators, so some of them would vary depending on the sector and the export product itself. Also, previous studies have attested that generally the distribution of stock prices exhibits deviations from Gaussianity, including the so-called ?heavy tails?. The higher degree of volatility encountered on these markets leads to the expectation that heavy-tailedness properties for stock returns will be more pronounced. In this research we attempt to confirm the fat/heavy tails hypothesis for a selection of 98 stocks listed on the Romanian Stock Market and we manage to accomplish this in a fairly large number of cases, both for the left and the right side of the distribution of daily logarithmic returns. Next, we try to establish whether ?booms? are more likely than ?crashes? for each company in the sample. Robustness checks via bootstraping enable the rejection or acceptance of this hypothesis with 95% confidence. The empirical results have important implications both for practioners via portfolio investment decisions and also for academic research i.e. value-at-risk or asset alocation models. We find that network participation has a positive effect on value added and exports, but not on profitability. The advantages of networking are stronger in the case of: smaller SMEs, firms operating in traditional and in more turbulent markets, firms located in less developed areas and firms not already exploiting the weaker ties offered by industrial districts. Network characteristics, such as size, geographical dispersion and diversity, are also found to influence performance. This objective was supported by the question whether there is a structuring principle according to which we can make groups of the different types of currencies and money substitutes in a structured manner. We have substantial and continuously developing literature of community currencies. However, as we know there are not many publications and studies about their classification. It is true that several authors and organizations have tried to make categories of currencies that exist besides legal currencies or that can be operated (e.g. Lietaer, Kennedy, Regiogelde. V Cooperation, Utterguggenberger Institution, Blanc, Bode, Boonstra and his colleagues, Greco, Mertignoni), but our opinion is that they are incomplete. On the one hand the aspects of classification developed in literature do not put the criteria of the classification into the whole monetary system and the currency system, on the other hand the main goal of certain criteria was not to create a structured system but to classify and to categorise the unique trials of money substitutes on the basis of some criteria. In our study we try to fill the two gaps above placing the certain types of money substitutes into a single system and a conceptual scheme. There are several good models of ecosystems and networks, as well as best available technologies for biological materials which are in accordance to the requirements of the EU Circular Economy Package. However, these best practices are often created by separated actors or companies and known locally. Even in the same region, knowledge about these practices do not reach all potential actors. Hence, regional authorities are in a key role to transfer knowledge and promote the transition to circular economy through changes in policies. This study focuses on the regional circular economy models and best available technologies for biological streams in Europe and how the policy platforms in each region can be steered towards promoting good practices. The material presented is a part of the ongoing project BIOREGIO (www.interregeurope.eu/bioregio/), where bio-based circular economy is boosted through transfer of expertise about best practices, aiming at changing regional policies to support bio-based circular economy. Methodological insights of the project are highlighted. BIOREGIO is carried out in six European regions from Spain, Slovakia, Greece, Romania, France and Finland. Institution has been identified in the literature to be important in affecting exports. This paper examines how contracting institutional strengths or weaknesses in source as well as destination countries influence export decisions of multinational firms. Our results show that competitive advantages of multinational firms in exports of both homogeneous and heterogeneous goods are eroded by weak contracting institutions in their source countries. We also find that weak contracting institutions in the destination countries exert significant negative impacts on heterogeneous exports but not on homogeneous exports.
