However, religion, a critical component of many cultures, is not explicitly included in Hofstede's model. This article explores the integration of religion as a cultural dimension within Hofstede's framework. By examining the role of religion in shaping cultural values, beliefs, and behaviors, the paper aims to enhance the model's applicability and relevance in a globalized world. Case study and theoretical insights demonstrate how incorporating religion can provide a more comprehensive understanding of intercultural communication and cooperation. The aim of the development work has been a smooth and student-oriented thesis process, which improves the quality of the thesis process from both the student's and the education provider's point of view. In particular, the focus is on team-based thesis supervision, where two teachers in different roles (thesis coordinator and communications teacher) hold a remote quided session every two weeks. The tutoring is organized as much as possible from the student's point of view: it is scheduled after office hours, does not require prior registration, and allows for questions on the progress of the thesis and on writing. This method has proved to be a good way of developing the thesis. The low participation threshold and the regular, frequent tutoring times encourage students to take part in the guidance. The evaluation of the thesis is also done as a teamwork: the thesis is always assessed by the main supervisor teacher and another teacher who reviews the content. In addition, the communication teacher assessed the thesis from the perspective of scientific practice. Supervision and evaluation as a team supports the teachers? work and helps to develop ways to enhance students? learning and acts as a systematic way to improve the quality of the thesis. Accurately observing the amount of total evapotranspiration in any given region usually is a perilous task given the fact that setups to directly observe evapotranspiration are costly build and highly effort-inducing to operate. Therefore, calculating the potential evapotranspiration of a region by using the FAO-56 Penman-Monteith formula instead of observing directly is preferred. However, FAO-56 PM formula requires a lot of different data sets, which may not be accessible in various regions, to effectively utilize. For this reason, scientists have been researching different methods to calculate potential evapotranspiration without the need for numerous climate data sets. In this paper, in the first step, reference evapotranspiration was calculated using the FAO-56 PM empirical formula. In the second step, potential evapotranspiration was calculated using the Blaney-Criddle empirical formula. In the third step, climate data including Rs, E, Tmax, Tort, Tmin, and Sh were used to calculate potential evapotranspiration using the MARS and GMDH heuristic methods. Among these methods, the GMDH method combining Rs, E, Tmax, Tort, Tmin, and Sh yielded the best performance with performance criteria of R2= 0.9846, MSE=49.07, MAE=5.56, and AARE=7.23 compared to the reference evapotranspiration. Abstract: Marketing and selling wine can be quite complex due to the variety of wine types, grape varieties, vintage years, and production methods. Large wineries produce wines at different price levels using diverse marketing and distribution methods. More affordable wines are typically sold in supermarkets or wine shops, while the higher-priced wines are mainly sold in specialized wine shops. However, the wines produced in small wineries, known as ?boutique wineries,? stand out for their complexity and exclusivity. These wines, often considered 'high cost,' are primarily sold in wineries or specialized wine stores. Consumers, while price-sensitive, are also willing to pay more for quality. Evaluating the quality of wine without tasting it is challenging, so price is often used as an indicator of quality. Winery marketers should set selling prices acceptable to consumers while providing a reasonable profit to the wine store. A study was conducted in wine stores to understand the crucial role of owners/managers in the marketing and selling of wines, particularly the 'high-cost' wines produced by small wineries. Their perceptions of the importance of wine marketing/selling issues such as the significance of wine tasting, awarded medals, labels, and brands, were explored. Results indicate that tasting wine and being awarded medals are important factors for both wine consumers and wine store managers. When tasting is impossible before purchasing a bottle of wine, consumers choose wine based on 'cognitive cues,' which include the brand name, awarded medals, and other information on the label. This study presents potential marketing ideas based on the insights of wine store owners and managers to promote these unique 'high-cost' wines produced by small wineries. It is recommended that in-store wine festivals include wine tasting and a presentation by the winemaker, telling the story of the winery and the different wines being tasted during the event. Additionally, a promotional price for the tasted wines should be suggested, highlighting the crucial role of wine store owners/managers in the marketing process. Flexible learning comes with challenges. Traditional teaching methods and assignments are no longer sufficient to achieve the learning standards of courses. In my presentation I intend to introduce modified and mixed teaching methods in my courses. With the aim of reaching and better engaging students. I use recordings of lectures, review sessions in the classroom and in Zoom, and project sessions where attendance is mandatory. In the course, I make sure that students use a variety of methods and creative approaches when working on projects. I also use a variety of assessment methods. Research results show that students are happy with these changes, especially the change to offer podcasts where people from the business world are invited to give an insight into their work. AI, and especially a tool like ChatGPT, is revolutionizing the way we work and is not just for some tech genius. This is an extremely versatile tool that can benefit people in many ways. It is to expect that it is going to affect every sector, it's just a matter of when. There has been a huge development in this technology in the last few years. Effects can already be felt in many areas, not least in the field of education and in general impact on how the work is carried out within the school environment. Icelandic academics and those who work within the education system express certain concerns regarding the development. They see both opportunities and challenges. According to them, the most important thing is to realize that this is here to stay and will affect the work within the education system in future even more, such as, for example, how assessment of assignments is carried out. In foreign studies the same concerns can be identified, but also opportunities that can be tackled. Opportunities like promoting students' critical thinking and teaching them to use artificial intelligence. The aim of this lecture is to investigate the use of artificial intelligence, especially ChatGPT, among students at a high school in Iceland. To achieve the goal, existing data were examined, some Icelandic and foreign studies were reviewed. Artificial intelligence was investigated in a historical context. The author prepared a questionnaire and presented it to three classes one from each cohort, out of three years in total. From. Results indicate that students are familiar with artificial intelligence and have used ChatGPT mainly for project work and gathering information. Most students wanted training and instruction in using the artificial intelligence, in a proper way. This shortage makes it difficult to find and retain qualified staff, particularly during peak seasons, which can impact the quality of service and guest satisfaction. The main recruitment challenges are retaining employees in critical positions such as reception, maintenance, food and beverages, as well as non-professional roles like cleaning workers and housekeeping staff. Therefore, strategic planning is crucial for recruiting employees in the hospitality industry. A study was conducted in Eilat, a resort city in southern Israel, to examine employee retention in 4 and 5-star hotels. The research, based on interviews with hotel staff, identified several key factors that can help retain employees. These include enhancing the sense of appreciation and the meaning of work, preventing burnout by balancing work and rest hours, and strengthening the sense of procedural fairness among hotel employees. Hiring unskilled workers, especially during peak vacation periods, poses a challenge. To address this issue, hotels in Eilat have hired Jordanian workers due to the close relationship between Israel and Jordan. Strategic planning, particularly the cross-border workforce approach, can be replicated in other parts of Israel and around the world. Collaborative efforts between countries can serve as a model for other regions facing labor shortages in the hospitality industry. Legal and regulatory requirements for cross-border labor, cultural sensitivities, language barriers, and effective communication strategies should be considered to ensure the successful integration of workers from different backgrounds. Abstract: Since 2020 we have seen major fluctuations in globalization processes, especially in its economic dimension. The pandemic followed by the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, escalating violence in the Middle East, and rising regional tensions in other parts of the world influenced trade levels particularly of merchandise. Although the World Trade Organization forecasts a recovery in the near future it also issues a warning that the continuation of international conflicts may disrupt growth. This study will analyze current changes in the international system and their relation to different globalization processes outcomes. Furthermore it will aim at describing a potential formation of a more stable global system, albeit the existing international security situation. Such a system formation is conditioned upon certain international normative processes that will be reviewed.
