First, we provide an overview of the informal economy in its taxonomy, coverage and stylised facts, and drivers, across six MENA countries. Second, using longitudinal microdata from Labor Market Panel Surveys and COVID-19 MENA Monitors, we apply transition matrices and multinomial logistic regressions to analyse workers? occupational mobility according to their pre-existing status, age cohort, gender and other demographics. We find persistent segmentation and weak occupational mobility in all countries, suggesting that informal employment is not driven by choice on the labour supply side but by structural constraints on the demand side. Third, assessing the existing formalisation policies encapsulating distinct stick and carrot strategies, and business versus worker targeting, we find rather modest impacts. We submit that promoting social and solidarity enterprises, and extending microfinance to informal enterprises holds a promise for the creation of formal, decent jobs. Differentiated teaching and distance game ? based teaching is not familiar to Schools (teachers and students). This survey is an innovation for the Greek Education and makes a teaching proposal in this field. The proposal is about ?the human body? and how children 6-12 years old learn to use them in their everyday life. It is known that children in these ages of 6-12 years are not familiar enough with the human body. The game is designed by a large trans-disciplinary research team from different Universities in Greece. The research team consists of mathematicians, geologists, physicists, chemists, computer scientists, doctors and biologists. The game ? based teaching guides children to learn with fun and solve problems in all school subjects, this study focus in ?Human Body?. The teaching proposal is based on the students? books of the primary school. The primary school students prefer the game-based learning, they learn easily and pleasantly. It is an initial research that started in 2021 and will be completed in 2023. The aim is to expand to all levels of education and to become the main teaching method for all students in schools. The Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) (Kouzes & Posner, 1987, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2012a, 2012b; Posner, 2016) is one such widely used leadership development approach, and the purpose of this paper is to offer some insights into how mindfulness could enhance leadership development programs that use the LPI. Specifically, we investigated the relationship between mindfulness and the leadership practices included in the LPI, while controlling for personality characteristics. In this quantitative, cross-sectional study, data were collected from 106 business professionals enrolled in an MBA program at a university in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. The results show that mindfulness is positively associated with two of the leadership practices, challenging the process and inspiring a shared vision. The practical implications of this study suggest that integrating a mindfulness program in LPI based leadership training will support the effectiveness of the training. The proposed production (operational) structure evolution model (PSEM) is based on the hypothesis about the existence of two basic types of production (operational) structures ? sequential and parallel. In the process of growth and development of organizations, these structures dialectically replace each other, moving to a qualitatively new level of development. Within the framework of this article, the objects of the study are enterprises of the metallurgical industry (NACE codes 24.1, 24.2, 24.4 and 24.5) located on the territory of the Czech Republic. Cluster analysis was used as the main research method. The results of the study generally confirmed the hypothesis put forward about two basic types of organizational production (operational) structures and the theoretical model of PSEM. A comparative analysis was also carried out with the previously obtained results of a study to verify the model of the evolution of the production (operational) structure of enterprises producing equipment for vehicles of the Czech Republic. The comparative analysis has shown that, firstly, the proposed theoretical model of PSEM for the selected industries is the same. Secondly, a comparison of the set of indicators used in the model of PSEM of organizations in the real sector of the economy for two different industries showed their significant coincidence. The specific period of economic crisis to be examined is the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This paper aims to see the shifts or changes in activities associated with the Training and Development of Indonesian employees. To begin with, the COVID-19 outbreak has forced businesses globally to follow strict safety measures to avoid the spread of the coronavirus. These safety measures include adhering to physical and social distancing measures. As a result, many enterprises were forced to switch from a physical to a virtual environment such as working from home (WFH). As the majority of business activities were switched to online, this research investigates the extent of changes that take place with regards to Training and Development activities in Indonesia. It is known that Training and Development activities within an organization are extremely practical and hands-on approach activities. However, due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, these activities too, must switch drastically to cope with the current safety measures. The approach that this research follows is qualitative. A Google Form survey distributed to 100 individuals, aims to investigate the experience of these respondents regarding the new ways of working conducted during the virus outbreak. Findings of this research have shown that the drastic switch to a more virtual and digital approach to Training and Development could be extremely promising. As the world has become increasingly reliant on technology, the increasing usage of digital tools is considered to be a benefit rather than a burden in the long-term. However, due to the rapid changes and adjustments made, many improvements are still necessary to ensure effective and optimal use of digital tools. The recommendations of the ways to improve these virtual activities of reskilling programs are divided into five categories: Institutional, Financial, Technical, Material and Psychological Support measures. Changing labour market conditions, the generational divide and the specific values of the new generation have in themselves posed significant challenges for employers. This has been exacerbated by the multidimensional negative macro-effects of the coronavirus, which have significantly reshaped labour market conditions. Working conditions and attitudes to work have been transformed by the pandemic, as has the issue and meaning of loyalty. In addition to the difficulties of recruitment and retention, the difficulties of cooperation between different generations have presented HR professionals with new challenges. It is very difficult to create a climate of trust that can be both optimal, attractive and stimulating for employees with different values and socialisation backgrounds. It is no coincidence that in recent decades a growing body of research has examined how how the ranking of incentives for employees has changed. Given that, the HR profession has witnessed an increasing intensity of change.Within the framework of this study, quantitative data were collected in the framework of primary research using a pre-tested standardised questionnaire. The analysis of the responses obtained from the random sampling allowed us to conclude that the generational gap in perceptions of the world of work has been further exacerbated by the pandemic, which has further encouraged employers to think about differentiated solutions and employer branding strategies rather than generic solutions. Volunteering can also contribute to human development goals. It can also lead to services in the form of employment that a paid worker would not be able to provide. It also enhances social solidarity, social capital, political legitimacy and quality of life in society. In this paper I would like to summarise the conclusions of an Erasmus KA2 project "Boosting Employability and Empowering Social Engagement in High Education through Pro Bono".The aim of the project is to strengthen the social responsibility of students in higher education and to promote pro bono volunteering based on professional knowledge sharing. In the framework of the BEESE pro bono Erasmus programme, we have also carried out an international research. In this context, a pre-tested standardised questionnaire survey was carried out among students from the universities participating in the project in the form of an online survey. The research examined young people's openness to pro bono activities, what they know about this form of volunteering and how and to what extent they can be encouraged to engage in CSR activities.I think that the empirical experience of the research and the participation in the programme could be useful for colleagues teaching at the university on how to increase the social awareness of young people, how to help them put their theoretical knowledge into practice while creating value for society. Views on Academic Integrity and a Way Forward Abstract: This paper presents a metanalyses on teachers? and students? awareness, their understanding and evaluation of the situation about academic integrity and the proposals to improve the situation in higher education by the experts in the field from different Universities of Latvia. The study is based on the analyses on two previous studies carried out by the team of researchers of Daugavpils University, Latvia. The first study was focusing on the awareness of social science teachers about academic integrity in regional higher education institutions in Latvia. This study included in depth exploration of the awareness of teachers, their conceptual understanding, evaluation of academic integrity among students and teachers, the analyses of the most frequent barriers to academic integrity among students and teachers, as well as the evaluation of communication of academic integrity politics in higher education. While the first study examines academicians perspectives and focuses on policies and procedures of academic integrity in higher institutions (HI), and whether the current policies and procedures are satisfactory as evaluated by the academic staff members to prevent plagiarism among students and staff members in higher education institutions, the other study was focusing on students? perspectives, their awareness and understanding about academic integrity in regional higher education institutions in Latvia. The questions were related to their awareness of academic integrity, evaluation of the politics about academic integrity and its implementation in higher education, as well as ways how to promote academic integrity in their institution. The current study offers meta evaluation of the situation based on the research findings of two previous studies by the experts in the field. The methodology employed in this study involves semi-structured interviews with three experts in the field about the situation with the academic integrity in the regional higher education institutions of Latvia. This paper contributes to the existing debate of academic integrity and how universities can respond to this emergent concern. Every organization must develop a certain method of behavior control in order to provide coordinated and effective collective action in accomplishing of its goals. Organizational culture with its assumptions, values and norms defines how an organization understands the nature of human behavior in social groups, and thus a suitable manner of control of this behavior. The paper uses Mintzberg?s classification of five methods of organizational behavior control which are differentiated according to two basic criteria: the level of restrictiveness and the level of formalization or personalization. On the other hand, organizational culture classification by Handy recognizes four types of culture, which can be differentiated according to two criteria: distribution of power and orientation towards work or social structure. Based on matching of the criteria for organizational culture types differentiation and methods of behavior control, the hypotheses on causal relations between them are established in the paper. The conclusion is that role culture implies standardization of processes, power culture requires direct supervision, task culture requires standardization of outputs, and human culture imposes standardization of knowledge or direct interpersonal communication as a method of behavioral control. This type of software develops the action list by recording the activities of a user who performs them directly in the application?s graphical user interface (GUI). The automation is performed by entering the GUI and following the preprepared list of actions. Such approach requires that RPA software runs on a computer configured the same way as it is for a human user. Very often for that purpose are used Virtual Machines set in cloud. In a usual licencing model one RPA software licence in connected with one machine. As an access to business applications via GUI is time-consuming in comparison to access via e.g. application programming interface (API) a certain amount of time has to be booked to perform all planned activities. This paper describes the implementation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) measure, known from manufacturing industry, for a pool of virtual machines used for RPA. The common issue is to balance the business requirements: performing processes in certain time and doing it with a low cost. To goal is to ensure the best licenses utilization. OEE identifies the running time that is truly productive. Its components: availability, performance and quality, together with losses identification, are described from a perspective of Virtual Machines used for RPA. A data-driven content marketing perspective was adopted within a business-to-consumer (B2C) context by focusing on some social metrics of a flag carrier airline brand. A pragmatic worldview allowed the researchers to test four hypotheses to examine the relationship between dimensions of branded content and their interaction level on Twitter. Facepager was used as a data collection tool. The analysis indicates that there is a significant relationship between the type of visuals, number of hashtags, character count, branded content grouping and more interactivity for the brand?s tweets. Further work is required to identify more dimensions of branded content to measure interactivity on social media with a larger sample and more social media platforms. The results extend the literature on data-driven content marketing and facilitate our understanding of how social metrics could assist brands to focus on best performing social media posts for more engagement. At present the research objective is to assess the benefits of residential customers living in the different climatic zones of Georgia with varied average annual solar radiation and willing to participate in the Demand Response (DR) program so called net-metering (NEM) for the purpose to figure out in which climatic zones of Georgia is more reasonable to make investments in small-scale solar PV plants. For achieving the research objective, the total benefits/costs of residential customers (with the average monthly electricity consumption between 101 kWh and 301kWh) living in four different climatic zones of Georgia (Tbilisi, Batumi, Telavi, and Mestia) and willing to invest in small-scale solar PV installations with the installed capacity of 3,465 kW and sell excess electricity (capacity) to the grid, is estimated. Besides, the capacity factors for Tbilisi, Batumi, Telavi, and Mestia were determined to illustrate how location affects the actual output of small-scale PV plants.During the study the following research hypothesis has been tested: ?Residential customers can benefit from retail-rate net energy metering if they choose to participate in this program but their benefits depend heavily on the location where PV installations are applied.? Our cost-benefit analyses revealed that solar is often a solution suitable for the geographical needs of remote communities with higher potential of solar radiation. In our study, we used stock prices from 59 Moroccan companies traded on the Casablanca Stock Exchange (CSE) from 2008 to 2017. Moreover, Jegadeesh and Timan's (1993) Methodology was utilized to create momentum portfolios. In reality, this research provides solid evidence of the momentum impact in Moroccan firm portfolios, proving that a six-momentum approach with a twelve-month holding duration generated a high return of 7,3412 percent per month on average. likewise, our study shows that the momentum method is still profitable and statistically significant when applied to a sub-period sample. Meanwhile, we showed that the CAPM model and the Fama French three-factor model may accurately describe momentum earnings in the Moroccan market. In recent years, cooperation with the BRICS countries has increasingly become a priority in a variety of areas, especially in science, technology and innovation.Effective use of scientific and technological potential by the countries is a fundamental factor of their stable economic development, improvement of competitiveness in the world global market, formation and development of national innovation systems. Emerging international science and technology relations (ISRT) are becoming a new systemic structure of international economic relations of the BRICS countries. In this regard, the issues of digital transformation of the countries are becoming increasingly important. In this paradigm, the experience of developing countries and regional associations, such as BRICS, is of interest, and has not been sufficiently studied so far.The BRICS digital transformation scenario as an imperative to transition to Industry 4.0 entails not only technological and economic changes, but also institutional ones. This factor may be a strength of BRICS, because since 2011, all the adopted documents in the field of digital transformation of the member countries of the interstate association are characterized by a high level of implementation. Producers in the region are cultivating fruits of superior quality and low environmental impact. Inserted in a production model based on the concept of sustainable business, these producers, agrifood entrepreneurs, seek to promote experiences to their consumers in their different alternative lifestyles, such as the philosophy of the Bean-to-bar production model. Elaborated as a theoretical essay, the development of this article aims to identify the contribution of the Bean-to-bar process in generating value in the cocoa production chain, inserted within a context of Short Circuits of Commercialization in the generation of innovative business. It is noted that a good monitoring of the entire process of transforming the input into a product allows entrepreneurs to explore with greater vigor the organoleptic properties of cocoa beans. Among the main initiatives that boosted the performance of the cocoa production chain in southern Bahia, Fortaleza Slow Food, the creation of the Cocoa Innovation Center and the Geographical Indication stand out. The strategies developed make it possible to diversify and foster rural communities. It is essential to understand the dynamics of these processes of local productive arrangements from the integration of public policies in the promotion, valuation of family farming products, sustainable cocoa beans with superior quality and local development. The search for recognition of the value attributed to cocoa products in the southern region of Bahia, from production (bean) to transformation into the final product (bar), intensifies the environmental perspective on the part of cocoa farmers. In this process, the sociocultural dimensions are present mainly in the cabucra production system, valuing and strengthening local family farming. The commercialization of almonds in the short chain segment enables business efficiency, giving space for increased profitability and reduced environmental impact. The frugal innovation model, oriented towards sustainability, becomes a path for the development of innovative businesses that generate value in the cocoa production chain. In this sense, for this topic to become solidified as a field of research that can bring relevant theoretical and practical contributions, it is suggested that new studies focus, among others, on business models that prioritize the cause and not simply the trends. On the hydropower market, the BRICS countries hold four positions out of the top-10 leading countries by overall installed capacity and electricity generation, with China being the absolute leader, followed by Brazil in the 2nd, Russia in the 5th and India in the 6th places3. This article aims to analyse the dynamics of hydropower development in these countries, seeing as together they make up more than half of the market (55.8% in 2021, an increase of 16.4 p.p. from 2012). The authors assess indicators such as electricity generation and capacity, as well as identify the overall role hydropower holds in the energy mix of these countries and on the world hydropower market. It is noted that over the past 10 years, China has been the key player amongst the BRICS countries, followed by Brazil. In Latvia, from 2019, these issues have been reconceptualized in initiatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and Higher Education Institutions (HEI). Considering the increasing scope of perplexities related to AI in the post-pandemic world, HEIs are in demand of research and academic environment based on a sustainable culture of AI. The given study is tailored to explore awareness of AI issues and views on the implementation of AI in their HEIs of teachers from Latvian regional HEIs. The sample of this study consisted of 11 teachers from four small regional universities in Latvia, working at three study levels (bachelor, master, and doctoral studies). Data were collected using semi-structured interviews consisting of nine open questions. Inductive thematic analysis was applied to qualitative data from the interviews. Teachers showed the good awareness and understanding on Ai, admitting that today AI is considered much more than before. Normative documents of HEI and study courses with integrated topics of AI are used in regional HEIs to communicate AI politics to students and teachers. Advising research work and integrating principles of AI in all study courses were reported as the most frequent forms of teachers? personal activities to prevent students from academic dishonesty. Teachers? suggestions for the promotion of AI were mainly related to the continuation of already implemented activities and adoption of activities administred in other HEIs. The findings of this research have essential implications for regional HEIs in Latvia to improve the communication and procedures of AI policy considering teachers? perspectives. One of the routes for further research would be the triangulation of the views of teachers with the perspectives of students and experts in the field of AI. Small enterprises often face ?take it or leave it? situations, because they either can not compete with the big enterprises, they can not fulfill the expectations of the investor, or they simply are not ready for the higher risks. This paperis split into several parts ? in the first part we define what public contracts even are and how they work in Czechia specifically. The second part is about the risks and difficulties small enterprises face when competing with the big ones for contracts. In the final part of this paper we will learn about the current situation in Czechia, how the market changed in recent years, and what should be done in order to make the contract more fair and worthwhile for both sides. In order to ensure long-term economic stability and support economic growth, most countries have established legal restrictions on fiscal parameters, which significantly reduce the possibility of exceeding the quantitative or qualitative limits set by the government. In economic literature, this type of limitation is known as "fiscal rules". Different topics of fiscal policy have been the subject of scientific research for many years, but research around fiscal rules have become more common in recent times. The actuality of this topic has increased in the conditions of covid19 crisis, which led to the reduction in economic growth in many countries, including Georgia, and a deterioration in a number of macroeconomic parameters (notably, a rapid increase in debt and budget deficit). Pandemic has been a massive test of the fiscal rules.Scientific literatures underline fiscal rules importance for long-term economic growth and macroeconomic sustainability. Thus, the pandemic challenges raise the issue of updating and assessing the effectiveness and flexibility of rules during the economic crisis. During the past two decades, a growing number of countries across the world have adopted rules-based fiscal frameworks. As of end-2021, about 105 economies have adopted at least one fiscal rule, 11 countries more than the last update in 2015 and 96 countries more than 1985.The present article highlights the impact of covid19 shocks on fiscal rules and economic growth, with particular attention to post-pandemic (Covid19) recovery. The given analysis creates a precondition for the further development of this topic in the future, to expand the relevant econometric model for calibration of fiscal rules, assessment effectiveness of fiscal limits in the context of post-pandemic economic recovery. Human consciousness is formed under the influence of two interconnected and complementary components: both external influences of the social environment, and subjective display of personal qualities. At the same time life in society and the estimation of a society and its phenomena makes an individual a social and political being. In this context, it is necessary, especially to note a role of media in ideas distribution today. The ideas in a society is broadcast through mass media. The information resources are a condition of adequate expression and inculcating corresponding ideas and interests in human consciousness. Today, they more often say about soft power. «Soft power» today is one of displays of changing shifts in policy. One of the sources of this power is cultural appeal. We cannot deny political effect of mass culture, in particular within the limits of information, ideological antagonism. Soft power, in the broad context, is not only culture. The central place in the concept of ?soft power? is occupied by the information. The means, methods and technologies of information-psychological influence on mass consciousness become the powerful geopolitical weapon today. «Soft power» is considered the capability of management of mass consciousness by means of influence on system of people?s values, their outlook and civilizational-cultural codes. In this measurement «soft power» is considered as the new and modern form of ideology. For example, democratic societies are characterised not so much by the right of a free choice of values, but inculcating in individual consciousness of social studies and mass culture in which basic values play the major role. «Soft power» as the major resource of influence in the modern global world uses public diplomacy (cultural, educational, sports, media, scientific, etc. projects) for interaction with elite and a society of other countries and formations of an attractive image of the country, its positive image and corresponding foreign public opinion on it.
