Abstract: Although there are more sophisticated methods of estimation of output gap and potential output, a production function still remains among the most used methods of estimation of these unobservable variables. To gain the most reliable data, several versions of the production function have been developed. This paper analyses if there is some difference between using a version of production with HP filter applied during the estimation and NAIRU. Results will show that there are not very significant differences but because NAIRU can explain changes at the labour market better it will be recommended to use this version of production function. The results from OLS show that secondary and higher education contributes significantly to the Real GDP Per Capita in Nepal. The elementary education also positively influences economic growth but the results are statistically less significant. The cointegration test results confirmed the existence of long run relationship in education (a well-educated human capital) and Real GDP Per Capita. It is therefore, suggested to keep education on top priority in public policies, make serious efforts for Universalization of Primary Education and discourage the drop-out rate at all levels of education to achieve sustained economic growth. In Czechoslovakia as well as in other post-communist countries, the development differed due to specifics of the centrally planned system with a monobank and no official competition in retail banking. This specific factor influenced the development of the banking industry after 1990, when big banks used information asymmetry in individual parts of profit seeking (esp. income diversification). Growing competition, development of information technology and growing literacy of bank customers have decreased retail prices only after 2011, as shown by performed comparison of retail prices of banking services in the examined period. Using comparison of retail banking clients clusters the paper identifies factors of significant decrease of retail prices of bank services. We focus on discussing these factors, mainly growing competition, growing financial literacy, lowering transaction costs. This paper raises a very important question whether the ?big four? on the retail banking market would keep their hegemony or the competition on this market would prevail. To answer this question is the aim of our next research. Foreign research comes up with two possible directions: that unemployment worsens health and that for people with poor health it is more difficult to find jobs, the healthy worker effect. In many models based on representative data from the European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions, it has been verified that unemployment actually worsens health. Conversely, healthy worker effect could not be verified. Finally, it was found that the relationship from unemployment to poorer health is greater among men than women.
