Abstract:
Lean management is currently being implemented or applied in full or in part in a number of organizations in the health and social services sector. However, on both a practical and theoretical level, managerial behaviours and practices that characterize the lean approach in this sector have yet to be operationally defined. To this end, two questionnaires for assessing lean management behaviours and practices of middle and senior managers were developed for use in the health and social services sector. The questionnaires have a good factor structure and adequate metric qualities. Suggestions for using these questionnaires are discussed.
