SOCIAL COHESION AND CULTURAL DIALOGUE IN THE CONTEXT OF MULTI-CULTURALISM

Abstract:

The critical concepts like cohesion, dialogue and multi-culturalism have different dimensions, because all the mentioned concepts have their own importance. Society has cohesive devices. In these fields several procedures related to different cultural approaches and different social histories are sometimes invented for harmonization of different cultural entities. In this context society would be a meaningless concept unless the reconciliation which is the primary discourse was not implemented. Definition of concept of multi-culturalism is a challenging one. It can be defined as a situation which is bounded to a pluralism for every industrial community and to a cultural diversity. Cultural dialogue and social cohesion have important roles in this multi-cultural context. In this presentation the main goal is to figure out the unseen similarities by defining the concepts mentioned above with the help of social cohesion and cultural dialogue.
