ALIGNING CORPORATE INNOVATION PROCESS WITH ETHICS

ISAAC WANASIKA

Abstract:

This paper makes a case for a morally responsible technological innovation. The fourth industrial revolution continues to transform the way human beings interact with technology and with each other. Industry 4.0 is characterized by a fast-changing fusion of technologies that have blurred the lines between our physical, digital, and ecological space. These emerging technologies have supplanted human skill and cognitive capabilities in our socioeconomic environment. The potential for modern technology to alter physical and mental characteristics of human beings and other species is monumental, and scary. This has raised moral and ethical concerns for more responsible innovation. This paper identifies key ethical and moral, while developing pragmatic solutions for responsible technological innovation processes.
