A META-ANALYSIS ON OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (OSH) IN NEW ENERGY INDUSTRY IN PEOPLE REPUBLIC OF CHINA (RPC)

Abstract:

The main purpose of this paper is to empirically examine the extent of application of psychosocial safety climate in new energy industry in People Republic of China (PRC). Meta-analysis was adopted in the present study. A total of 155 samples were collected, which covered topics related to ’new energy industry,’ ‘occupational safety and health,’ and ‘psychosocial safety climate’. This paper found that, about 67% organizations recognized the importance of occupational safety and health, but not in new energy industry; and only 10% of them recognized the importance of psychosocial safety climate and its practical implication in new energy industries. This paper presents a new research insight in to the application of psychosocial safety climate in new energy industry in People Republic of China (PRC) that highlights the need to further explore research on occupation safety and health issues in hazard organizational settings.
